That sounds less like men are permitted and more like most women do not have a way to retaliate.

It is not as if being unfaithful has disappeared. But now that women are not condemned to being property, it is very easy for a woman to leave a man who sleeps with other women. It is an incentive for everyone to stay loyal.

I suppose that is true. But I enjoy sending the scoundrels running home. They do not step out on their wives again after that.

So you would leave Samson if he were to be unfaithful?

I would not only leave him, I would also kill both him and the woman involved.

Why kill the other woman?

Because no one plays with my toys without permission and gets away with it.

I cannot say it would matter very much.

When I beat up dogs who stray from their wives, I leave the women alone. They have little power, I cannot begrudge them for looking for the attentions of a man. But if in your time women are equal, does this mean violence towards women is as permissible as violence against men?

Nyet. But I can begrudge a woman for seeking the attentions of my man.

But if she did not know, she cannot be held responsible, and if you kill your... man... [Why is "your woman" natural-sounding to him but "your man" isn't?] ... then she cannot seek attentions from him any longer. What good would it serve to kill her, aside from your own comfort?

In that situation, what does anything outside of my own comfort matter?

I cannot condone the murder of a woman.
