[Out of all the spooky things happening today, there is one thing that really bothers Dairine. So her voice has a slight edge to it when she addresses the journal.]
So… it snuffed out the sun. Or at least effectively did. This certainly puts the castle at a new low.
Well, let’s hope it’s temporary. Having the sun go out is not an experience I personally wanted to repeat. Too bad we can’t go off planet and check on it. [Mutter mutter grumble]
Anyway, if anyone needs it, I have a light set up.
[Dairine is heading towards the lobby and ballroom, with a small glowing bluish light floating next to her. She might not look it, but she’s on high alert, just in case the castle decides to stop playing around. Approach with caution.]
((OCC: Open open open! Journal or action. Also, if you’re character got a Christmas gift from Dairine, feel free to comment about it if you want.Because I am lateeee.))

Well, stars are technically alive in YW canon, so I guess they count as special too.
Lady Varda? Eru Ilúvatar? Are those the Powers that Be in Middle-Earth?

Btw, would you like Dairine to give Galadriel her gift now or have it already received?
What did They do?
Whatever you would like.
Lady Varda is among the Valar, who sprang from his mind and work his will in Middle-Earth. She is the most highly revered by the Elves, for it was she who kindled the stars and set them in the sky. Elbereth, she is also called.
Galadriel shall receive her gift in person then. :3
Sounds familiar. [Not that she's surprised. The wizards' creation story appears in different forms throughout time and space.]
Shall we say Dairine hasn't recieved hers yet either, then?
Certainly.
Wow. Reading about the Powers that Be, it's almost the creation story in the Silm exactly
I suspect that was intentional.
/finds these books
But come, we need speak no more of such things. I have for you a small gift, late though it may be.
/go go go (enables)
Oh, yeah! I have something for you too! [She had thought it'd be better, well, at least more personal if she gave the gift herself. So Dairine had held onto it.]

[Dairine is just... awed. She got lots of books this holiday season, but none of them were this fancy. It's impressive, to say the least.
Dairine runs one of her fingers along the embellishments.] It’s beautiful.
