[Seeing as most of the other residents spent a large amount of their time in Holly Peaks complaining about the food Sunny has decided that it's clear that they are in need of something delicious to eat.

So this morning she finds herself in the kitchen making breakfast. She's standing on a chair by the stove making French Toast. A LOT of French Toast. There's already a large stack on the counter ready for whoever would like it, syrup and powdered sugar close at hand.

Good morning, Paradisa. There's a 2 year old in the kitchen cooking. WAT DO?!]

[Will had left the castle early in the morning, long before the sun was up.  It was nearly Spring.  And that meant one thing to him.  That it was time to watch the flowers grow.

He heads out to the garden and finds a comfortable patch of grass.  And then he lies down on his stomach, and he watches.  He watches as the sun rises and the morning frost vanishes.  He watches the dirt and the plants all around him.  And eventually he pulls out his journal and dictates into it in a dream-like tone of voice.]

This time of year is marvelous, isn't it?  That time in between winter and spring, when it is neither and both.

[this morning finds Gale out in the front yard of Casa de Guts, a stack of boards piled up off to the side of the walkway. he's cleared away most of the snow, and put out a pair of sawhorses so that he can haul the boards up onto them and cut them. on top of another pair of sawhorses, his blueprints for the attic renovations and his journal are weighed down by stones, to keep them from blowing away.

as he works, he listens idly to the chatter coming off the pages and hums quietly to himself, an old tune from the Seam to keep the rhythm as he saws. it takes him a good two verses before he realizes just WHAT he's humming, and what it was written to allude to. once he does, he stops]

.... Been a long time since I even thought of that song.

[and that just sets him thinking. he'll continue working, even as he's flooded with thoughts about the past year: about how much he's changed, about how many have come and gone. Katniss is the only other one from the Districts left, now ... and even she had come and gone while he had stayed. he's beginning to understand how Allen, Crowley and Ino feel - his veteran housemates - and why he gravitated toward them so easily. he's cut from the same cloth from them, and was even before Paradisa even set its sights on him ... something like canvas or denim, the sort of cloth miners' clothes are made of. the sort of cloth that stands up to fire and smoke and friction and repeated use, that might fade at the creases, but doesn't fray.

he pauses in his work to look up at the house, and realizes that needing to add more rooms is a good sign: a sign that there are an increasing number of people made of the same stuff. he turns to look over the town at the spires of the castle, and grins.]

Hey. Cair Paradisa. Let's make a bet, you and me. Next year? Four floors.

[The Doctor is about to exit the TARDIS into what he thinks is the warehouse in Shad Thames. Except for a nanosecond it's just far too bright, the light is all wrong and it's blinding him, he thinks he's going to miss-step or fall and... That's quickly gone and it's definitely not a dingy warehouse that he has stepped into.

What?

[Scuffle of feet as he whirls around. Yep, TARDIS is there. More scuffling, whirling around, surveying the scene...

What?! Where is this place? Now, that's just not right and- Hello. What are you doing? [Footsteps and he picks up the open journal from the dresser.] Oh! Now that's very clever! Feels and smells like paper and leather yet effectively transcribing my every spoken word. How is it achieved I wonder?

[Muttered...] Far too clever for this to be any of the Dalek's doing... As well as completely beyond their technology. Time scoop? Possible, but I would have seen that coming. Black Guardian? The Eternals! Ah, that feels more like it, this has their hallmark all over it. Oh no. Where are Tegan and Turlough?

Oh look, this journal caught all that as well, a nice record all in my own hand. [There's the sound of pages being flipped.]  Hmm. Lots of other different hands as well... That can't bode well...

[Journal open in hand he cautiously leaves the room but not before suspiciously noting that 2109 has his name on its plate.]

Hello? Anyone there? Pardon me, but I seem to be in a spot of bother and appear to have lost my friends and a warehouse... Rather careless of me, I know... Has anyone seen a young man or woman, answering to the names of Turlough and Tegan respectively? It's quite important that I find them. Lovely stone castle you have by the way, shame that I can't stay.

[[ OOC: The Doctor is in! Feel free to pester him via journal or in person. He's wandering around the towers and making his way to the ground floor. :) ]]

It was my birthday last week, but since everyone was stuck in that weirdo retirement home I don't mind celebrating late. Send all gifts to room 1510, care of Ted Wiggins.

I could use some new tires for my uniscooter so I can drive around on ice.

[Zelos has known about Raine's departure for a few days now, he always kept up with the castle maps and she was someone he kept track of. It was a loss to the castle that frustrated him. Not only because she was his friend, but because she wanted to stay. More than that, she was pretty much his only link to any sort of Paradisa or World exploration things. Meaning if he wanted to keep searching for that way home? He was going to have to do it by talking to brainy people himself.]

[Ugh. He hated talking to brainy people.]

[But after a few days to collect thoughts and procrastination, he knew it was time to get it over with. It was unfair to let all the notices fall to the other people from home. As Raine pointed out, after herself he was the oldest member of their group- and he was expected to fill her shoes and be the adult if she were to ever leave.]

[Ugh. He hated being the adult.]

[But oh well, nothing he can do about that right now. So here comes a dictation done in a calm manner]

It seems Professor Raine Sage has returned home.

The Professor was a huge asset to the search of information about the castle and the world. I hope there are still copies of her work...somewhere around here, but we'll see if the castle feels benevolent.

Until then, if there's any questions you'd have liked to ask the Professor you can field them to me. I was her assistant so I...I had to read a lot.

[....]

Well, unless it's detailed questions about ruins or her personal life. I really can't help you there.

[An awkward pause, like he knows he's supposed to say something else but it's on the tip of his tongue-]

Oh- uh yeah-

Sorry to anyone who knew her. Sure she'd miss you all if she could.

[Ugh. He hated this already.]
