[Shinichi knew he had to act. From the moment he had awoken as his true age, the clock was running. He needed an explanation for where Conan was, before anyone began to worry.  More importantly, he needed to establish Shinichi Kudo's prsence in the castle again as someone completely separate from Conan Edogawa.  He could not allow anyone to speculate that their similarity in appearance might mean that they were the same person under an age change. That option had already been lost long ago, the first time the castle had returned him to his true age. There were some in the castle who would remember his previous appearances as Shinichi.

And so Shinichi puts together a plan. Conan couldn't appear in person, but he COULD still exist over the journals. It would have to be enough.

And so Shinichi opens up the journal as he changes the settings on his voice changing bowtie to match his voice as Conan. And then he begins to speak, as the voice changer changes his voice to match that of of Conan.]

I have some great news! Shinichi-niichan is in the castle again!  Its been forever since I've seen him!

[Shinichi pulls the voice changer away from his mouth and continues on in his own voice.]

Oi, Conan. Is such an introduction really necessary?

[He coughs, and then continues.]

Conan has filled me in on the basic facts about this place.  As ridiculous as some of it sounds. I do intend to investigate.

As he mentioned, my name is Shinichi Kudo. I am a detective, and his distant relative.

I need a couple people to tag along on this Dead Zone-friendly car race thing. It's gonna look dumb if it's just one guy driving it, basically, so I guess consider this an open invitation. Plus I should probably figure out how much weight it can take before it slows down.

It can take about three more people, since there's gonna be me and the driver already.

[Meanwhile, Brock can be found out by his cabin, working on a steam-powered car for this thing. He's making okay progress on the steam engine, considering he was interrupted for about a week by the appearance of his magical impossible castle daughter, and the chassis is pretty much done. Since it's Brock, it's about as muscle car-looking in appearance as possible, though the size of the steam engine makes the design look a bit off.]

[A teenage boy's voice comes over the journal, softspoken and polite.]

I am looking for a name.

I wonder if anyone here is familiar with the history of the places the British call New York and Boston. The name I am looking for belongs to a man who is alive in 1770. He may be associated with any of the following men: William Johnson, John Pitcairn, Thomas Hickey, Benjamin Church, and Haytham Kenway. I also wonder if anyone knows these names.

I am looking through the library here, but it is very large, and I am not making much progress.

[And... like he said, Connor can be found at a desk in the library with a huge stack of books next to him. He's trying not to read them very thoroughly, because knowing too much of the future of his home is probably not something he should mess around with. That may be why he's not really finding the name he seeks -- or the castle could be forcing his eyes to pass over the name every time.]
