[Bilbo thinks of what to say before scratching his quill onto his journal, as he's sitting under the large bows of a tree. He's outside once more, as he finds himself becoming a constant visitor the castle's grounds. The large tree just outside the castle walls is one of his favourite sitting spots. For either writing, reading or just relaxing. He is happy because Thorin has joined him within the castle. Now, he has more people from his own world. Something, this hobbit is pleased about.]
A curious question if you like, regarding the castle and it's choice of who it places inside it's walls. Thorin Oakenshield, my dwarf friend, has recently been brought here by the castle's choice. Did it know that I was thinking of having dwarven company? Or is the selection random? I am wondering if the castle knows what we are thinking all the time.
As if, it knows what I am writing at this very moment and is thinking of ways to sate my thoughts. Does the castle have an intelligence of some kind? I am just curious if anyone else thinks the same thing as me.
Or am I just rambling on like an old hobbit? My father would say I've had too much to drink and my mind starts rabbiting on about useless ideas. If someone thinks about having a friend or family member here, do they suddenly appear? As if by magic? [Bilbo stared at the page of his journal, before looking up at the moving clouds above.]
Well, that's about it. Another ramble by this hobbit and I hope someone can give me some feedback on my curiosity.

[There is the soft sound of shifting objects, as if someone is parsing through a bunch of things. Jane's found all the sewing and knitting things Rose left her, and it's really frustrating when you don't know how to use any of it.]
Perhaps I'll take a book or two from the library...hmm.
[She hasn't forgotten the journal's open, though. There's a filter after all.]
I'm sure you've noticed by now that some of our friends have left us again. I feel awful for just going out on the expedition all willy-nilly, but, I think we should do something now that everyone who's still around is here. I'm...not really sure what though.
It just seems right to...spend some time together, I guess. I want to see all of you.

Episode 115
Sep. 8th, 2013 03:32 pmIt seems like lately every time I walk down the halls of the castle, there's another nameplate missing from the door. Someone else I know is gone, or a friend of a friend. And... you just don't know how to feel about it.
[he doesn't even really want to say who's missing this time. He's just emotionally exhausted from all the friends and loved ones disappearing]

Dictated (Beginning of Loss)
Sep. 8th, 2013 03:51 pmWell, that was an interesting trip! I've never been to Winchester before.
The trip there was interesting too. I saw the buffalo with the hands. There were buffalo in my world too, although they didn't have hands. Of course the proper name for them wasn't buffalo at all! Not for that species. Properly, they should be called American Bison or Bison Bison. And even that isn't quite accurate! There are two subspecies, the plains bison and the wood bison. The plains bison is slightly smaller, while the wood bison is one of the largest species of bovid in the world. Only the Asian Gaur and the Wild Water Buffalo are larger.
The term buffalo was used first for the animal. It was first recorded in 1625. Buffalo comes from the french word boeufs, meaning ox or bullock. Buffalo is still commonly used. However bison, coming from a greek word meaning ox-like animal, is more scientifically correct. Properly speaking, the only two true buffalo are the Asian Water Buffalo and the African Buffalo.

[Conan suddenly realizes that he had rambled on and shared much more of his knowledge than he had intended. Why had he done that? Hastily he adds on an explanation.]
I saw a program on television about it once!
[There was shuffling in the background and the sound of metallic boots making contact with the wooden floor. A minute later you could hear a door knob rattling, and maybe some mechanized whirring along with the heavy footsteps. Suddenly, there is a large crashing sound. Her poor door got demolished again... Seriously, Chie stay away from doors.]
S-Sorry! Sorry!
Ugh god, I can't believe this! I've changed! My body is different! It turned me to a robot!
[Dun dun duuuun!]
Geez! I hate this castle...
[For those fortunate enough not to her demolish her door again in the journal, Chie can be found in the kitchen, struggling to grab on to things with her robotic hands. Her height and body shape remained, but her joints are exposed, mainly her shoulders and her hips. Her eyes look like camera lenses, and there are some circuit-like creases all over her body. Every time she makes a move, her body generates quiet motorized whirring sounds. She's accompanied by a Samoyed puppy with a green collar, who was just tilting it's head as it watches her master break stuff in the kitchen]
