paradisa | (no subject)

[What ho Paradisa. If you are the lobby now, you might find a somewhat unusual sight: three kids - well, two kids and one young teenager, really, the teenager conspicuously naked and sprawled out on one of the lobby couches. The teenager has long blue hair and is filthy. The kids are relatively clean, one of them - the older boy - graced with a crown of pale blond hair, the other a smaller little girl wearing a traditional robe and black pigtails. There's a journal nearby of course, and it picks up a voice which might sound a bit familiar:]

Hey... person! Hey! How come you're naked?

[Then the younger boy:] Because he's got no clothes, stupid.

I'm not stupid! [That seems to rile the little girl up; she gives the boy next to her a push.

It looks like this minor ruckus is enough to wake the third boy anyhow.] Whuh...?

[What do, Paradisa?]

[oh, he's watching very carefully.

And it's of enough concern to him that he actually gets bold enough to venture a question. After glancing toward the younger two, he steps a few paces closer to Galadriel]

Whose are those?

It's a garden! It's pretty! And you can see a long way. [It is pretty outside, the garden is blooming with spring. They're high enough up to see a ways too.] I don't think I've been high like this before. Wow!

[She'll ignore Rin and Zelman at the moment, since they seem to be doing just fine, focusing instead on little Legato.]

Most of the weaponry belongs to the young lady who ordinarily shares these quarters with me; she is away for a time. [So to speak.] A few pieces are my own and the armor I hold in keeping for a kinsman.

Hey, I want to see.

[yeah no the window has his attention now. he goes scampering off to look next to Rin out the window.]

Yours? [and another girl's. he seems surprised.]

What do you use them on? What do you fight?

[Rin sort of chins herself on the windowsill, so she can peer out a little farther. She's not really listening to Galadriel and Legato now.]

See? Pretty, right?

She, I imagine, fights who she must when she must. For my own part, it is strictly a matter of security. There are circumstances in which it is ill-advised to go unarmed, even if one is not a warrior by nature or trade. [She is not so foolish as to walk into the Deadzone unarmed, for instance. Being powerless is quite disadvantage enough for her tastes.]

[Zelman's listening, but his attention is split.]

Yeah... Everything's really green...

[he considers this for a moment, before glancing toward the door]

You fight people here?

[Rin drops off the sill, landing on her feet on the floor.] Let's go explore it. [Amending, with a glance back at Galadriel:] Later.

This place is not always at peace, alas. But you need not worry overmuch at the moment.

[nodding, but also turning to look at Galadriel.]

Yeah, later.

Why not?

[Rin scoots closer to Zelman and reaches for his hand. :|b]

There is no conflict at the moment and were any to emerge, I am more than capable of providing some measure of protection.

[She smiles at the three of them reassuringly.]

You don't look very tough.

[Rin why are you holding his hand. :| Rin...]

[haha, he nods in agreement with Zelman. Because yeah-- while she might be an exceptionally tall and graceful woman... she's still a woman.

...also kind of glancing at the two kids holding hands. What are you doing.]

[She just hands onto his hand. And stares at Galadriel.

You trust too readily to appearances. [Is that a smirk? It's definitely a knowing smile and it looks a little self-satisfied.] Not all fights are won by force, little ones.

[oh... she's smart, then.] Okay.
