So it's recently been brought to my attention about something called a loss. I've lost something as I came here and I was wondering, since I've obviously been here before, if anyone who knew me before could help me find out what it was.

I'd also like to meet anyone I knew before. If it's not too weird.

Well, I... maybe? I mean, if you had forgotten them entirely, you might just believe that you never had one, you know? But if that meant your entire family, including parents, then... well, I mean, everyone has parents somehow, you know?

I do remember my parents. I remember my mother's smile and her cooking. I remember the day my father took my flying for the first time and how I almost fell off the broom when I tried to touch the clouds.

[There's a sad smile in his voice as he remembers.]

Alright... so your loss wasn't them, then! Maybe... do you know if you have a family of your own? You might not, but if you do, it might be them...?

No. It's just me and my parents. I'm only 17.

[Shiki's knowledge of several girls who have gotten pregnant by age 17 can stay unvoiced for now. Instead she just grins and concedes the point for now.]

Oh. Well then, yeah, I guess that makes sense! Well... I mean, I guess we could keep thinking about things that might be missing from your life, but... more likely than not, it's something that'll come up at some point while you're here, so until then, I guess there isn't really all that much use wondering about it?

Yeah, I know. I got lucky in that mine is a physical loss, but I also know that it's not as easy for most people... maybe it's an ability for you? I know that a friend of mine here lost his ability to plan out buildings, since he was an architect back at home?
