Padfoot and Moony )

[ Meanwhile while he scribbles this down James is preparing the only thing he'll need for this trip in the library. He's got a big scroll laid out in front of him with the alphabet in large print at top, and various common words and phrases underneath it as he scribbles out more as they come to him. ]

[ James has been walking around the castle for the better part of the night, sticking up fliers wherever he can find space. All of them feature the same thing, a stock wizard photo James has found of a recreation Quidditch team tossing a Quaffle back and forth as they fly around above the pitch with the large words QUIDDITCH PRACTICE ALL DAY TOMORROW charmed to flash between red and black to get people's attention.

He's still hanging these up by the way, so feel free to bump into him, or tear them down since gosh these things are kind of an eyesore.

For now he's dictating into the journal as well.
]

Well now as much fun as all this secret sharing business has been so far, how about something a bit different? For all you with the constant complaint about being bored meet me out on the front lawn bright and early tomorrow morning. I think I've got just what you need to fix that problem.

[ Now that it's nighttime, and after spending a good portion of his afternoon trying to map out and ward off people walking across the portion of the castle's massive yard that he's designated for his future Quidditch pitch James is exhausted. It's a busy job, marking it off appropriate for the future games he wants to hold... once the really does get up some hoops. Testing the various brooms on them to make sure they won't buck off an inexperienced rider, and considering there's all of two people here that he knows of that's played Quidditch at all that's an important step.

Then there's the various charms and spells that go into everything to make it a proper game and not just people flying over a section of grass tossing regular balls at one another. Of course all of that equipment needs proper testing as well.

You really don't think about these things when you're a player, but James is starting to appreciate the work that goes into all this.

Either way you might run into James putting on some last minute touches for the day onto some of these brooms, or you might see him scuffling back into the castle lobby with a huge pile of brooms and a surprisingly large collection of books awkwardly held in his arms, while a large bag swings over his shoulder.

No matter where you find him, James looks ready to collapse in front of a fireplace for the next few hours.

((OOC. The post is open for any remaining planned (or unplanned!) kisses people had with James. Or just a regular open post where no kissing need happen!))

[ James is currently strolling down the hallway around midnight, possibly heading to the kitchen, possibly just not wanting to deprive the world of his presence even for a few moments to get some shut eye. Whatever his reason is he stops in front of one of the windows, squinting at his reflection on the dark glass and mussing up his hair, tugging his shirt collar so it's just slightly off kilter.

He's got an imagine to keep up, after all, though he does manage to always look fantastic, doesn't he?

He clears his throat, and dictates into the journal in a lower more "mature" tone than he usually uses. Like he's trying to come off as more impressive somehow.
]

You know, the other day I felt absolutely miserable, like you couldn't pay me enough money to get out of bed. Shame really, that I kept myself locked away for even a day. A real waste, if you think about it. Ah well, I made a speedy enough recovery, as I well knew I would. Though if I'm not mistaken from what I'm reading here I'm not the only one that was feeling under the weather recently.

[ The sun has already set for the day, so there's not much he can do now, but after all the effort he'd been putting into charming some makeshift bludgers into being just as aggressively violent as the real thing, and a quaffle into falling slowly when dropped, he'd been spending the remainder of his free time figuring out the snitch.

Now he probably could have wished all that up for himself and been done with it, but he wanted some equipment that he knew would work.

Don't even get him started on the brooms. He isn't even sure he could have done it at all if he hadn't found one already in the castle that must have been charmed a couple years back possibly even one created the last time this particular player played him, but lets not get to meta here.

None of it works perfectly, and he's got a good deal of tweaking to do to get it up to par, but he's at least got the basics. He's currently perched outside the castle's front door, bundled up comfortably for the cold night air, sitting on the steps and playing with his newly made snitch.

It bobs and weaves around in jerky, almost drunken movements, but it's definitely flying and James couldn't be prouder.

He's got his journal sitting next to him, and keeps letting the snitch wobble away from him before grabbing it back for almost a minute before flipping the journal open.
]

So who here's ever heard of Quidditch?

[ Or if you really want to see him in person instead of talking to him over the journal, James is outside on the front steps, watching the night sky and the little fairies that keep flittering about the place. ]

Now I can't say I'm an expert on magical creatures myself, but I've taken enough classes to know a thing or two about the basics, and I know for a fact the average fairy doesn't exactly operate the way these ones have been behaving. Not sure what their whole building kick is all about, I didn't even know fairies were the industrial type.

Who would have guessed? Friendly lot too. They're very fond of gift giving, aren't they?

While I'm on it, speaking of things going on, anyone got a spare dress robe lying around? I could always wish one up, but I'm not too keen on that.

[ Well this has been one long and adventurous journey, but James is glad to be back, in the bed the castle provided him, in his own, natural form.

God he missed having hands.
]

Well that was fun. Nothing like a little adventure from time to time. Lets not do that again any time soon, however. I think I'm good for nice, long break from everything for the time being.

Well... that was quite the introduction into this world, Paradisa? If I'm reading that right. Not really the way I planned to start off here, though I admittedly can't say I really planned to start off here at all. Got a good look around the castle though, a little bit of the town. Not a bad place by any means. Of course it would be better if it weren't for the whole kidnapping and trapping us here part.

Buildings these days. They just don't build enchanted castles like these used to.

So, that all out of the way. I'm James Potter. Nice to be in my right mind again and meet the lot of you.

[Hermione has read about this in the journal, but didn't expect to be a participant. Now there is a baby boy in the room and Hermione has parenting books all over the place. She picks up the baby and lets out a sigh]

You would have my eyes, wouldn't you? And I bet your hair is going to stick out just like your-- erm, James.

Now, what do you think we should call him? [and no, James, "Harry" is not an option]
onlyanotherbody: ([James] What's with all the wizards?)

No.

Okay, you hear me, Paradisa? NO. I did my time. I body-hopped for a sodding week. I was a cat-girl and nearly had my face burned off with a rosary and I spent three days, three fucking days stone cold sober. Straight.

We're done now. Don't you be putting me into another poxy body now. I've had enough.

[This would be the sound of stomping. The stomping of a demon who has had enough. He doesn't care who he's living in right now. They are going to find a bar and they are going to get hammered]

So it's recently been brought to my attention about something called a loss. I've lost something as I came here and I was wondering, since I've obviously been here before, if anyone who knew me before could help me find out what it was.

I'd also like to meet anyone I knew before. If it's not too weird.

Thanks.

So this is the castle, huh? Rattata! Will you quit it? Rat?

I don't suppose there's anyone in particular I could ask to answer all my questions. Or do I just ask them to everyone?

[Poor James has suddenly landed in Unova. He looks around and sees the journal. Curious, he inspects it. As he does so, a small...thing...jumps out from the behind a bush.]

Whoa! [And the word appears on the page. Not knowing, what to investigate first (the writing in the book or the small creature before him), James tries both.]

So what are you then? [And again, the words appear on the page.] This is weird.

You know, I'm really unsure whether I should be offended the castle didn't see me fit to pair me up or honoured that it thinks I am doing well in the romance department.

How do my fellow ballroom people feel?
