It's recently come to me that I'll never be afforded the opportunity to go to college if I ever am returned home. I never had the time to really think what that means, but it doesn't sit well with me. So here's a list of things I'd like to learn. If anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it.

Any sort of physics.
~~Mechanical Engineering.~~
Any Engineering, though Mechanical seems to be where I thrive.
History - any, particularly Earth, but I'd like to learn about any culture.
Science. I decided to broaden from just physics - especially if there's chemical engineering. I've dabbled with bio-chemistry here as well, building medical equipment.
-Genetics would be interesting.
Combat skills, particularly hand to hand. Not that this is something collegiate, but it would be helpful.

I think that's it, but if there's anything along these lines that could help, I'd be interested.

[She laughs.] I've rigged things to explode -- more as an escape route though.

That's usually when I use it... though I admit that's not always the case. I should see if I've still got any of her Nitro-9 somewhere. It did come in handy more often than I ever admitted.

Are you trying to get me to blow something up?

[He laughs] Not unless you'd like to.

When would I not like to?

[That just makes him laugh harder]

Well then, would you like to come by? I can show you that Nitro-9.

Anytime! [So excited.]

Well, my dear, my door is always open.

I'll have to stop by then.

Brilliant. Now, then, how have you been doing, my dear?

I'm alright. Busy, but doing okay.

Busy is good, though. I'd rather be busy than have nothing to do.

Me, too. I finished working on some medical equipment for Dr. Brennan. Now I'm working on some other things, and I'm learning some self defense.

Self defense, hmm? What kind?

Nothing in particular. Just learning.

Which is the more important part. What it is doesn't matter as much as the desire to continue learning something new and trying new things.

I don't think I'll ever want to stop learning.

Which is as it should be. Look at me! I'm eleven hundred and seven and I've never stopped!

[She can't help but laugh.]

That's good to know.

It's especially useful around this place. Even without the library, just talking to everyone about their respective planets and universes has been incredibly educational.

I've gotten that as well. Just listening to people is a wealth of knowledge.

Oh it absolutely is. Hearing things from those who have lived it is far more accurate than reading it in a book.

I don't mind reading, but I've always been more proactive than that. My brother was the one who always had his nose in a book.

Both have their merits, to be sure. [he thinks] You know. I think you might be interested in going through my store rooms one of these days. I have loads of things I've picked up from my travels in there!

I'd love to. I couldn't imagine knowing the things you know, Doctor.
