[ GLaDOS is still not very used to eating. Thankfully, her human body is helping with most of the natural processes, but actually taking a bite out of something edible and chewing it was extremely odd.

So, have the former AI leaning against the counter for support as she takes a bite out of an apple that was in the fridge. Her yellow eyes are constantly scanning the room, and as much as she hates to admit it, being out of her room makes her a bit nervous. She's been so used to just staying in the same place for her entire life, that being a defenseless human able to wander around frightened her more than pleased her. The only upside was that becoming allies with humans would probably be easier if she looked like one, too. ]

Not quite, but the place was falling apart by the time I regained control. It was horrible.

And I couldn't even fix it before I arrived here. [ She's actually kind of worried about that, now that she thinks about it. Hopefully, she could get back soon. ]

Wow. Wow. Thanks for confirming a lot of the suspicions I've had about that guy since he got here.

[ To be honest, GLaDOS was a bit impressed by his observational skills compared to the other humans. Even the mute lunatic she was testing didn't catch on... She bit back from saying anything that could possibly offend his kind, however. She needed as many allies as she could get. ]

It's the truth. [ She said offhandedly, but his mumble intrigued her. ]

Hm? What was that?

Just... Wheatley's been messing with a friend of mine and I'm not okay with it.

[He doesn't want to offer too much information on that, just because he's never met her before today.]

I'd keep your friend far away from him, if I were you. [ she replies, looking to the scrambled eggs curiously. She wondered how they were holding up. ]

... are those done yet?

Oh crap, my eggs!

[He goes back to them and takes them off the stove, prodding at them with the spatula.]

Still mostly edible, I guess...

[ ... Well, she supposed any food was better than none. ]

... I suppose they'll do.

Well... yeah... maybe...

[He sprinkles some black pepper on top of them and scoops out a good portion onto a plate for her.]

They might be a little dry...

[ She takes the plate, looking at the scrambled eggs over one more time before going to get utensils, setting them in a pile on the table. ]

As long as they aren't lethal. [ she says with a slight amusement in her voice, seating herself at the table and stabbing some of the scrambled eggs with her fork. ]

Please, I'd never kill someone. ...especially not with eggs.

[He grabs a fork of his own and leans against the counters, intending fully to scarf his eggs too quickly to warrant sitting down.]

Well? Edible?

[ She takes a bite of the eggs. They were rather dry and not the tastiest thing she had ever eaten, but they were passable. Her quality control was drastically reduced because she was starving. ]

Edible... [ She pauses for a moment. ] Enough.

Good enough for me.

[He shovels the rest of his helping into his mouth and goes to rinse his dishes.]

I'm heading back to bed...

[ She manages to take a few bites before Phoenix goes to leave. ]

GLaDOS. And you are? [ He seemed pretty lazy. Maybe her earlier analysis wasn't a good one. ]

Phoenix. Phoenix Wright. I'm a defense attorney.

[He stifles a yawn.]

...and I didn't get much sleep last night--er, sorry.

Defense attorney, hm? [ From GLaDOS' point of view, those were pretty useful people to defend Aperture's... questionable intentions, back when humans were in charge. Maybe his job would be useful should she ever be threatened to be prosecuted, or any such thing... ] Quite the job, from what I can recall.

[He fishes in his pocket for a moment and--despite these being his pajamas--he produces a small, round pin-like object.]

[ Well, maybe she was impressed by his job, but... the badge wasn't amazing. ]

I suppose... you have to wear that when you're in court, then. [ She's really trying to give a response; being appealing to humans was more difficult than she had anticipated in some aspects. ]

[He's used to people being sorely unimpressed, but he still frowns.]

I'd like to be able to do my job here, but I haven't had a chance to yet.

A symbol of your whole life? [ Huh, so he aspired to be a lawyer from a young age? she notices the frown. Well, there wasn't much she could do about it - human trinkets like badges were pretty boring to her - but his job might come in handy. ]

And I suppose that means there haven't been any murders or crimes? [ She was expecting a lot of crime, considering not all of those abducted seemed to have high moral values. ] I would have thought something would happen, given it's unlikely everyone here is friends with each other.

Yeah, I'm sort of surprised at how quiet things have been since I got here. But, to be fair, I've only been here for six months, and I've heard that there were a lot of issues in the past before I came around.

A lot of issues... I wonder how they were resolved. Perhaps the Peace Patrol had something to do with it before they disbanded? [ Maybe there was a correlation between the two...? ]

They definitely did, from what I've gathered from researching it.

[Really, he doesn't just sit around like a hobo all day.]

[ She nods thoughtfully, finding this man to be an interesting character, despite the fact that he was hopelessly, irrepairably human. ]

Now that there is no "peace" organization, I'd bet that something will happen. Maybe you'll have the chance to do your job. [ Especially if she and the moron are going to clash. ]

[He shrugs and yawns again, heading for the kitchen door.]
