[Robb has been asleep for the better part of seven days. He'd been stitched up and left to rest, with Grey Wind ever faithfully guarding his bed while he slept. In between bouts of wakefulness, Carson would try to explain this place to him. They were in a castle that's like no other castle he's ever heard of, and it grants wishes only to take other things away. It very possibly brought him back from the dead.

Upon waking up this morning, he realized he was no longer so drowsy, and he was more alert than he'd been since he'd arrived. Finally, it was time to get answers to the questions he needed and dreaded. He wasn't yet strong enough to write for any length of time, but Carson had mentioned he could talk to the journal and it would find its way to people's ears. So he did.]

I was told this castle brings into it people of many worlds. If we are, in fact, so many then there's a possibility that there's other people from my world as well. I come from the Seven Kingdoms of Westoros; if it is familiar to you then please respond. I have...questions of great importance to ask.

If they suck. If they're mean, or drunks, or don't even give a shit about you. If they'd rather spend their days passed out in a chair in the front room instead of actually notice that you're there.

Some duties are more unpleasant than others, true. But that doesn't make them any less important.

Alright, how about a bunch of old dudes deciding that since they don't want to deal with their own problems, they set up a young girl to fight their battles. Then if she dies, they just... pick another one and keep it up for -- well forever.

What about that?

Then those men would be considered cowards, having women fight their battles for them.

[HOLD UP.]

Because... women can't hack it or because they should just do it themselves?

[young_wolf]

Because it's the man's duty to defend his lands. Women have...other duties.

[msattentionspan]

Other duties? [..............]

This better be the whole I come from a time when it's kingdoms and all that bullshit, because if you tell me that I belong in a kitchen, making you food, we're gonna have a problem. [a beat] In fact, you're gonna have a lot of problems with most the women in this place.

I wouldn't expect a Lady to serve me my dinner, no. That's what the kitchen wenches are for. I simply meant that women have the duties of raising their children, and watching over the household. [Pause.] My mother gives excellent counsel.

[He can admit that now that he's not surrounded by his men.]

[She laughs.]

Yeah, you're gonna be screwed here.

[He's already becoming used to her strange way of speaking.]

That doesn't sound pleasant.

Not the way I'm talking about, no.

Personally, I don't care what you think a woman should do, because I'm not good with following orders. [Also, she'll fight you before she does whatever a "lady" is supposed to do.] I just know there's a lot of women here who'll be pretty ticked and they won't be afraid to tell you just that.

Hey, it takes a helluva lot more to offend me. I'm just giving you a bit of a heads up that not every woman is gonna be what you expect.

In fact, I'm positive I'm nothing like you expect.

[He chuckles.]

I would have to agree. You're far too forward, for one. [Though he doesn't say that like it's a bad thing. He's amused more than anything.]

I fear you'll have all the ladies of the castle asking for my head by the time we meet in person.

[Her turn to laugh (again)]

Yeah, that won't happen. I already said that I don't really care what you think. I'm not gonna tell anyone anything. Most of them won't care what I have to say anyway.

You seem like to kind of voice her opinions. Quite loudly. They would listen if you made them.

Most people would say my opinions aren't worth hearing. [That's what happens when you kill someone. You get knocked down a peg or five.]

I'm not the best example of someone worth listening to.
