He had done a bit of exploring, tried to figure out just where he was while looking for Al. Hell, he was looking for anyone familiar. Clearly he was not succesful because the voice coming from the journal is loud and very, very irritated.]

First thing's first. I'm looking for my little brother. His name is Alphonse Elric, goes by Al. He's hard to miss, wears a big suit of armor. If any of you know where I can find him I'd appreciate it.

[He takes a deep breath.]

First off, this place is called Paradisa. It has the power to take people from different lands and times. For example... Alphonse told me that alchemists are powerful and important people in your world. In my world, they're the stuff of fairy tales.

Uh... actually, my world is pretty boring and normal compared to everyone else's. Earth, specifically Japan, I'm just a high school student. No alchemists or people wearing giant suits of armor... except maybe for cosplay.

You don't age here. And when you leave... you lose your memories of this place. So it's like nothing ever happened.

[There's an uncomfortable pause, so he clears his throat.]

... Anyway. Everyone who comes here has a 'loss'. You lose something, but you'll get it back when you go home. It can be just about anything... a memory, an ability, an item... I can't yell anymore, one of my friends has no memories of his cousin, and another lost his teddy bear.
