You know, if all the information found in the book in that other world or whatever is true, it just makes the outsiders look more like scumbags. If I have a giant sentient castle munching on my soul, I'd rather know about it, you know? I don't think I'm really the only one, right? If you have more information, you can make a better decision. Maybe it'd have changed things...

Of course, I guess there hasn't been mass exodus, huh? Is it just that it would be too hard? There's some stuff set up out in the dead zone, but not enough to support everybody in the castle. People would actually have to work for their keep. Maybe it's easier to just pay tribute.

It sounds really ominous, doensn't it? That you're feeding something off your soul. If it's true. But I have to wonder then, what if souls regenerate or something? Maybe souls can heal like bodies do. I guess I don't know enough, but there might be some here who could talk about that. [A small amused sound.]

Though, the world outside is the most exciting thing here, too. We really are living in a world that hasn't been explored... and it's full of beautiful, magical mysteries out there. But even though there are ways we could get out, most people just stay in the castle all the time. Some adventurers.

[Anyway. Today Rin can be found out on the edge of the woods, in her usual haunt - under Alexstrasza's tree. She's leaned up back against the trunk with her journal over her knees, and her Arcanine sprawled out at her feet, enjoying the dappled sunshine.

I doubt she would have accepted us before if we did do anything negative of our own volition.

I'd have to think she would hold it against us, but we are not perfect beings. No one is, and we are bound to make an error at some point on an issue.

[Looking up at him. He's a Dragonsworn, so she automatically trusts him. Alexstrasza wouldn't have picked a really bad person, right? Even if she's done bad things, and he might have done bad things.]

Have you ever killed anyone?

That is a loaded question, Rin. Do you mean out of malice, or out of necessity?

I know... but we're both Dragonsworn, right? We should trust each other. [/baby emotional manipulation] Anyway, I mean out of defending yourself. Or somebody else.

I have, yes. Defending myself and other persons. In my world, you either kill or be killed. And yourself?

Not in such direct terms, no. We did speak about what I do back home, so I believe she picked up on that on her own.

Besides sleeping, drinking and smoking? [ He smirks lightly. ] Nothing much. Yourself?

I'm just enjoying being around the castle. I don't think it's so bad living here. It's nice to be around everyone else too!

It's nice to not have to deal with certain people who are back home.

Ha! [Full of sardonicism there.] Yeah, I know what you mean.

[Looks at his Gardevoir] what's her name? Or... his...

Everyone has at least one pain in the ass they are glad to be away from whilst here, I'm sure.
