[Just as before, today finds two new figures standing in the courtyard. They are great figures of the past for some residents. Perhaps their stories can be shared?

In the city, people are talking rather excitedly about an event to take place in the evening. They say a great fireworks display is scheduled, and they can't wait to catch a glimpse of it. It's said to be an extraordinary show.

Will you pay patronage to the elders? Will you grab a seat for the show?]

[Conan is simply standing on the roof and staring up at the sky. He is alone.]

[hm? Colette spots a... familiar figure. (she's sure she's seen this boy before!) And it's no good for him to be by himself]

[Conan looks at her and instantly remembers her. He eyes her warily.]

[salkdgh it's a bit fuzzier for Colette, but she'll get it in a bit]

Are you here to watch the fireworks?

Mmm, I thought it could be interesting!

I think so too! [hmmm]

Do you have fireworks in your world?

[modernholmes]

Yeah! I've been to see fireworks lots of times!

[No he's not. It's practically a party up here!

Dairine is sitting a ways off, huddled up in a sleeping bag. Yeah, she's in normal clothes now too, thanks for asking.

So far Dair hasn’t noticed him yet, which is probably a good thing. But for how long will that last?]

[He spots her, but chooses to ignore her for now. It had been a long week. And he was STILL suffering from lack of sleep due to his neighbor. Not the best time to deal with that brat.]

[Dairine sees Conan too, but also tries to stubbornly pretend he's not there. Her loss had been embarrassing and tiring, especially since she couldn't even sleep in her own room. And he didn't exactly help. Not that she blames him.]

[At last he begins speaking without looking at her.]

I see your loss is over.

These two are so awkward

Obviously they need to be forced to deal with each other more

[He's started to miss hanging out on roofs and being able to see things far in the distance, so he's climbed up on the roof to watch the fireworks too. When he gets up there, he sees Conan and offers a slight smile in greeting.]

[Conan smiles back at him.]

Have you seen lots of fireworks before?

[detectivegenius]

[He nods.] I'm from a big city so whenever it was Independence Day or some other big holiday, we'd usually have them. You?

[modernholmes]

We saw them at festivals a lot.

[detectivegenius]

What kind of festivals? Anything in particular? [Trying to pinpoint what his culture is and if he's from Earth or not. By now, he's learned to not just assume that everyone is from there too.]

[modernholmes]

Many different festivals. We go to all of the different annual festivals in Tokyo, and we have also been to many festivals in other regions.

[detectivegenius]

You're from Tokyo? Earth, I'm guessing? What year?

[modernholmes]

Mmm, from Beika-cho. The year was 2002.

[detectivegenius]

That's not so far from my time.

Did you get that issue with Sherlock worked out...?

Oh? Where are you from? From your accent I would guess America.

[He nods.] New Jersey, Gotham City.

Sorry to hear that. [Have a noisy neighbor would probably drive him crazy.] Is it possible to move rooms...?
