[ You know who Uru hasn't spoiled in a while?

Pharos.

She hasn't seen or hung out with him in quite some time too, so when he asked to go shopping because he wanted some new clothes, there wasn't any way she was declining. The best thing about her job now at the coffee house? She gets weekends totally free.

Browsing through the tables, she spots a nice red hoodie and then checks for the size label on it. ]

What do you think of this one? Or is it too bright?

[Oh, Uru is looking around! Clearly they must be in the right section. He'll be looking around too then, though mostly just trying to look at things that Uru is, because clearly she knows what to do in these places.]

What other colors do you want? I know blue and red are ones you really like, but are there others?

Also, after this we can get something to eat! It'll be my treat, since I have to make up for Christmas.

I do not necessarily know that they are colors that I like, precisely... [He lifts a hand, tugging on a lock of his own hair and trying to peer up at it.] But Zelman's eyes and hair are both red, and Minato's hair is blue; and they are both very important people to me, so it seems fitting to attempt to emulate them in such a way.

Zelman does have nice eyes and hair. I don't see red hair often.

Me? I like most of them! Pink, blue and red are nice ones. Rainbow?

Ah, I feel sort of bad for not getting everyone things. [ She still hadn't gotten Damian something but she has no clue. She's opting to ask him later. ]

And it was only your second Christmas ever, hm?

Then perhaps I should get something pink, or rainbow. [Though... he's not sure rainbow is a color. Isn't that just a lot of colors? Could you wear that many at once?

If you like pink, then I see no problem with it.

Of course I did not. I had no reason or chance to celebrate anything before I came to Paradisa.

Usually boys would say they don't like pink! Or something.

Did you celebrate Valentine's last year?

...But it is simply another color, is it not? I am aware that girls are typically more fond of it, but I never understood why that was a terribly important detail of human culture.

Valentine's... I cannot recall doing so at this moment, no. Why do you ask?

It's a fun holiday to celebrate, especially if you're a boy. You get chocolate!

...I was under the impression that girls were the ones meant to receive the chocolate, though. Was I mistaken?

[ Thought he'd be more familiar with the Japanese tradition, since Minato's head and all. ]

Oh! In Japan it's a bit different.

[Considering this... Minato always had so many girls around, sometimes it was difficult to tell just where the chocolates came from.]

Oh yes, I recall that now. Minato always had quite a bit of chocolate around.

He always did! I had difficulty telling at times if he was receiving them or giving them. It was quite the curious spectacle.

He was probably getting them from girls. White Day is when guys give chocolates in return.

So what does one do if they are a boy and they wish to give chocolate to another boy? Or a girl giving chocolate to another girl?

You can still give! There's no rule saying you can't! I gave some girl friends chocolate last year!

[Tilting his head to peer up at her from a different angle. ...Nope, he still doesn't understand your staring, Uru.]

...But then, if it were me and not someone else, would I give chocolate when it is appropriate for boys to receive chocolate? Or when it is appropriate for them to give it?

The entire occasion seems unnecessarily complicated.

I guess... when boys receive it. [ Now she's getting confused. ] But you don't have to follow Japanese customs! In the west, everybody gives each other something it seems.

Like I got chocolate last year on Valentine's!

I never thought this would be such a complicated matter!

[Siiigh.] I shall consider what to do about it for the moment. I do not think giving anyone chocolate is of great importance to me at the moment, but it is certainly good to know.

When we find something larger for me to wear, may I try it on? I do not know if the color suits me very well.
