Well, I did try to warn some of you that magic always comes at a price. It was only a matter of time before something like this happened. Maybe after this incident you'll be less inclined to just wish everything you want into existence because it's the easiest way. Be glad you don't live on my world, you'd all be up a creek without a paddle surrounded by ravenous crocodiles and perhaps a few rabid sharks by now.

So, how long precisely are you planning on hiding out there? Because my ability to care enough to cover for you is beginning to wear thin if you continue to be stupid and stay out in the middle of nowhere without any word if you're okay or not.

That explains the issue I was hearing about earlier then. [And a chuckle.] I have every intention too, seeing as how I doubt Helen's recent arrival would take to my death well.

[She does feel special. And also annoyed. Mostly annoyed] You can't keep up being dead forever. Eventually something will happen and you'll be brought back here, and then you'll have to explain yourself.

I'm in the Dead Zone, so I doubt it would reach as far as here if it was going to effect those outside of it.

[He probably shouldn't have mentioned that...

And as usual if it occurs, I will find a way to do so. This is hardly the first time I've done this. And I have a feeling that those that would care to know of my whereabouts already know. [He's not amused by that nope.]

I'm doing well as can be expected I think. Poor River is dealing with her condition and I am trying to help there.

[Slight pause, and note of worry] Has there been word of Nikola? ...or of James? I haven't been able to find anything out about him since I arrived. I know you said he'd stepped out but, it's worrisome.

And of course how are you? Forgive my manners, I am not entirely at my best.

[Boys she is going to punch you both, very hard, for putting her into this situation] James is still...away. But he's fine. And Nikola's still brooding with his pigeons.

She's suffering the effects of her own vampirism worse than I had hoped. I'm working to create a serum as I did for Nikola. But I don't have high hopes for great success.

Not unlike what I've run into for years myself, I am used to have to take things head on. I'm also rather infamously stubborn, not certain if you've had the pleasure of witnessing that yet.

I intend to have my own when they reveal themselves.

I wish I knew our history, but I am glad to have someone here to rely on, I hope I live up to whatever my predecessor has done.
