1/015: Yellow, Orange and Blue. [Dated to early the 2nd day of Family reunion plot]

[Daytime was when GlaDOS and Wheatley finally came around, rowing to shore and crawling off of the boat that they had left themselves to float in through the night. Drowsily, Wheatley would help his spouse up and out, the two of them looking like a proper trainwreck...

And wheatley having some rather apparent and smeared black lipstick dappled all over his face...

Yes. I promise. [ she sighs out, giving his hand a small squeeze. ]

[He sits up.]

I... uh... you can't tell anyone this either.
Not like I think you would. I trust you, of course... but--

[He smooths his hair back.]

Another bloke I know... well, thinks that you're just as beautiful as I do. I could see why, obviously... and-and IF I tell him, that--that we did... well you know, that. Then, It'd prove that you completely trust me and there's not a problem. N-Nick'd be more inclined to...

[He stops and clears his throat, he's speaking lower now.]

[ GLaDOS listens as patiently as she can, furrowing her brow. ]

So essentially, you're trying to convince this man that he has no chance.

We're already married. He already doesn't have a chance. [ she sighs, stroking his hand with her thumb. ]

W-well yes. That-that is true. Didn't think about that.

[He is staring at her. He's mesmerized. You can tell by the stare, and the way he's droning his words.]

[ GLaDOS can't help but smile a little, amused. ]

You seriously don't think I would go off with some other man. You're enough trouble.

[ Maybe a bit of teasing, but the sentiment was all there. ]

[He looks away, he's embarrassed now...]

...No. I honestly...didn't.

[He's being genuiiineeeee...]

T-to be honest, I figured you'd scare the pants off him.
It was more for his well-being.

[His hand reaches into his pocket.]

[ She chuckled a little. ]

Maybe. He should know better, though. Considering.

[ Surprisingly enough, she doesn't pay much mind to him putting his hand in his pocket... ]

[He pauses for a moment, and stands...]

D-do you want to go somewhere? Anywhere you'd like, love.

[ She pulls herself up along with him, unsure if she should let go of his hand or not... ]

Hm. I don't have any preferences. [ It was true; she also wasn't sure where to go at this point. ]

[wheatdos]

[He smiles a little wider. Why does he looks so nervous.]

Why don't we go for... a uh... walk? Go for a walk. Simple enough... I just...

[He holds on to her hand. Even if she wanted to, she'd have to pull her hand out.]

I... just want to talk, I suppose. About nothing... just...

[The feeling of being nervous. It was overtaking him. Even to simply speak, Wheatley was finding it difficult to look at her, so instead he kept his eyes locked on her hand which was holding his...]

[ She continues holding onto his hand, then. ]

That sounds fine. Talk all you want. [ So then she started to walk along the shore-line, giving his hand a little squeeze. ] What do you want to talk about?

Well...

[He stops for a moment, and lets go of her hand, crouching a little. There is a quick motion of his hand as he urges her to climb onto his back. He's yet to carry her around, and he plans to do it now.]

For one... I suppose I have a confession that isn't a confession at all. But it sure feels like one. Could be the setting. Could be that, not going to scratch that out.

[ ... GLaDOS hesitates for a moment before climbing onto his back, making sure to hold on. She knew he probably just wanted to carry her, and would come up with an excuse or reason to otherwise. Or just scoop her up anyways. ]

What sort of confession? [ she asked, leaning forward a little to look at him curiously. ]

[Slowly, to make sure that she had a good grip on him, he stood himself up to his full height, continuing to walk. He knew exactly what he was going to say, but it wasn't until she had asked him, that he felt choked up.]

I don't think there was ever a time that I didn't admire you, love...

[He's hanging his head forward.]

Even when you made fun of me, which I remember clearly.. mind you, I guess I always was so impressed by you.

[There is a pause as he tries to control his heartbeat. His words become slightly softer as he continues to walk. It isn't hard to tell the slight embarrassment, the hesitation.

Why was he hesitating?]

You were so smart... so beautiful, and you know what? No one could tell you otherwise because you knew that you were always completely in control of everything. Which you were. B-but you knew it, so...

I remembered you were so surprised by me loving you so early on. As-as strange as this sounds... but even if everything were to go terrible... I think a part of me was made to, uh... care about you. To love you no matter what. F-funny iznit?

[ She listened, even when he paused, not putting any words in. She felt her heart tug a little, quite moved, for some reason she couldn't explain. So she kissed the side of his head softly, feeling a little choked up all of a sudden. To love you no matter what.

Somehow, those two sentences were what made the largest impression in her mind. ]

[ she started herself, taking a deep breath before continuing. This really wasn't her forte. ]

I'm thankful for that. Because I know I'm really unbearable. I always think of the negative side. I always poke fun at everyone. I usually just think about work. Practical things. I hit you all the time.

To be honest, I'm shocked you could care so much about me. [ Oh, hell. Her voice was shaking. She swallowed, obviously anxious about having said so much. Even if it wasn't quite as much as he had said. ]

Really, your tenacity is astounding.

[When she kisses him, he closes his eyes and cracks another smile. Just a kiss, and she was able to calm his heart rate, or quicken it. It felt strange to admit that she had that much influence on him.]

Ahhhh... that's all true. Except for being unbearable! That-that part... isn't true. But you do hit me all the time!

[He says it with a laugh.]

Ahhhh... astounding. Was that a compliment?

[She walked into that one...]

I'd say it's worth it, though. Going after you. Even if you can't tell me you love me very often, you have to at least admit to that.

[ Hm. She smiles a little. ]

And maybe it is. [ She wasn't actually too bothered, this time. If only because he had spilled his heart out first... ]

Oh I don't know... sometimes I can be forgetful. Just a little bit. Just a bit. Maybe you should remind me.

[ GLaDOS huffed a little, recalling the memory almost instantly; her cheeks reddened. ]

How could I do that? [ she replied though, deciding to whisper it in his ear before kissing the shell. If he was going to remind her of those things and get her squirmy, she was going to do the same back. ]

[Oh... now that, is cruel. He lets out a laugh, and he shivers vigorously at the sudden kiss. She isn't being fair, though she was never known for playing fair in the first place.

...He can't even reach her. He realizes that most of the time when he's in these situations... ]

...Ahhahaha! Hey! What are you trying to do?

[ She grins before nipping at his earlobe. ]
