[Ezio is about to bust out the most intense filter work of his life. He has never done a complicated filter before, and he needs to do this right.]
----- Inventors, technology experts, mechanics, but barring those who seek power -----
[he clears his throat, then in that thick Italian accent:]
Hello... my name is Ezio Auditore, and I seek an inventor or mechanic or... esperto of some kind. I have obtained an object of great importance, but I do not know what it does, or what it is capable of.
But I need someone I can trust, someone with the right... sensitivities for this object.
-----Historians and Religious people, barring Lucrezia Borgia -----
[Still more thick Italian accent:]
I seek information about Pope Alexander VI.
-----
[And, with that done, you can find him in the kitchen, contemplating the microwave.]

Priest
If a man kills any below him, and will continue to do so, his death will prevent his actions. If you were talking about a common criminal -- a petty thief or murderer -- I would be inclined to agree with you, but Borgia is the hand that moves all others, the source of corruption.
I understand your cause, Father. But it is easy to say such things when he is long dead in your time, and his crimes are resigned to history.
the Italian Stallion
It will prevent his actions. But his last act will have been to have made a seemingly good man take his life.
And after that, there are those who would take that good man's life for the blood he's shed. The pain of his family, and innocent people who looked up to this man as a symbol of hope in darker times -- naive though it might be. The actions of one man can have such a deep impact on so many, Mr. Stallion. Don't you think so?
There is nothing to say the tyrant won't simply be replaced by another. Where will the bloodshed stop? Once you start down that path... it's painful, and the place it leads you is only more pain.
...Or, alternately, Hell. But I've always imagined Hellfire is rather unpleasantly painful, myself.
[he taps the page, lightly, before crossing out 'Priest' in the filter and scribbling below it 'Father Abel Nightroad, nice to meet you :)' yes the smiley face is there don't judge him]
The history since your time is full of many tyrants, many petty criminals, and many, many good men. Which of those do you want to be?
Father Abel Nightroad
But oh, the Hell card. Ezio has long accepted that if there is a Hell, he is most likely going there, but at least he'll be with good company, and the people he's killed will be in circles lower than his. He does pause, though, to reflect on what the priest is saying, even if he's angry. He's easily won over by logic.
He still doesn't like the guilt game, though... and he won't think of what he's doing as wrong.]
There have been tyrants since the oldest ages, Father. So what if he was replaced? To those who would have suffered under his hand, it is good enough. A good man protects his famiglia, his city, his people, does he not? God would punish a man who does that, even if it is done for unselfish reasons?
And even so... a good man won't be taking his life –– illness will.
the Italian Stallion
[this conversation is starting to make his heart hurt ;( E-Ezio.]
...A good man protects his family. His friends. His people; you're right. Some are more successful than others, but I like to think the intent of the heart is what matters most.
But a sword can be wielded to protect, or to kill. Never both. [he is very firm on this point... yes, their ideals are quite different, however much Abel would've shared Ezio's once upon a time...
err, this is getting far too serious for his tastes--]
We've gotten a bit off the mark, haven't we? And here I still don't have your name...!
Father Abel Nightroad
I am Ezio Auditore.
the Italian Stallion (nope not getting rid of this nickname forever...)
Ah, and... you know... It's been a long time since I've met someone else hailing from Rome! Though, I suppose our 'Romes' are quite different... the heart must be the same. I've met many people from 'Japan' since coming to Paradisa.
Father Abel Nightroad
[Bring it, dude.]
Ah, I am not from Rome -- I'm from Florence, and residing in Venice, both of which have felt the influence of Borgia politics. But "Japan"? I have never heard of it.
the Italian Stallion
It's a country to the east, and seems quite popular amongst the residents here. I'm sure if you ask around, you could find quite a few people from the region...!
['Borgia politics,' he says. oh, how Abel empathizes. ...for far less moving reasons than Ezio.]
Have you been here long?
Father Abel Nightroad
[Pause]
Wait -- I have heard of Japan. Molotov mentioned it; they formed an alliance with Italia and Germany at some point in history. I have not met anyone from Japan yet, though, nor do I know where it falls on the map.

But, I wonder what kind of future you're looking for.
Father Abel Nightroad
the Italian Stallion
That's a strange approach, I have to admit.
Father Abel Nightroad
I want to see justice done, and then I will... find a wife, have children, and... be an investor, or a banker, I suppose.
the Italian Stallion
Ahh. That sounds like a very good future to me... One worth striving toward!
'Find a wife.' So, there's no special someone yet? [WHAT DID WE JUST MEET so what... he'll ask all the things...!!]
Father Abel Nightroad
Not yet.
[He wouldn't make a wife out of the vast majority of the women he beds... even the ones he's bedded here :|]
the Italian Stallion
Love is the kind of thing you can't rush, huh? I guess that's one thing about Paradisa... you've got nothing but time to mull over those sorts of things. If you weren't sure what you wanted from life before, maybe you'll have more of an idea by the time the castle sends you off to adventures elsewhere! [...because he, for one, is not so certain 'home' is their first stop on the castle-train away from this little humble abode.]
Father Abel Nightroad
There is plenty of time, yes.
[Except there isn't, because he's 28 and his family name is pretty much ruined.]
It'd be good to know when Alexander VI will be dead, though, so I can get to that part of my life.
