Maybe it's because I've never had a significant other, but I honestly do not see the point in Valentine's Day. And people have told me in the future it is far more commercialized. If you truly care about someone, shouldn't you show this at every opportunity and not just one day a year?

I understand everyone likes to feel appreciated, but perhaps I'm too logical in this. I think I would rather something personal. But then I've also never been on a date. I have yet to even consider the psychological aspect of an intimate relationship like that.

Perhaps I shall look into that as well. [Because she needs a break between reading biochem technology books and learning computer code.]

A lot of people fear rejection. You wouldn't be open for someone telling you anonymously just to see how you react?

They wouldn't really know me if that's the route they took. It says a lot about a person's character if they put it out on the line.

A lot of people are just scared about getting their heart broken.

Whether you say it anonymously or up front, that's kind of the thing that holds you back. Which is why I think people use this day as a way to tell someone they like them. Then again, a lot of people don't take this day very seriously.

Probably only if you have someone to celebrate it with. Otherwise it just seems like any other day.

You can celebrate it with friends. It doesn't have to be romantic.
