[ooc: Forward dated to tomorrow morning/afternoon]
[The Five: The Knight, The Dragon, The Bard, The Wizard, and the Princess] [I.E. the people mentioned here]
My Lords. My Lady. [Nevermind the unlikelihood of a wizard, a bard, or a dragon being a lord. Better overshoot the titles than undershoot them.]
Your titles were discovered in a book, itself found under strange circumstances, that told of the history of the castles of Cair Paradisa, Libet, and the surrounding areas. If it would not trouble you overmuch, I would have word with you on the subject.
[Action for the library]
[She really should have given up on finding anything useful in this library by now. But, as they say, hope springs eternal.
So once again, you may find Galadriel searching through the stacks. Books on Paradisa or the the Five mentioned above would be lovely, but she’s aware that she’s unlikely to find them. No, most of the books in her pile are… not the sort that you would expect the Lady of Light to be reading. Dark Magic. Specifically, the type of magic fueled by human souls and emotions. If your world has such magic, you may well notice a familiar text among the titles.
Know thy enemy and so forth.
Still, this sort of thing isn’t pleasant and she’s not altogether certain that she wants others reading her thoughts on the subject, so she’s fallen back into the old habit of taking notes in Quenya using the Tengwar script.
Of course, every so often she stops and sets the books aside. The subject matter is disturbing and she finds that she can’t delve too deeply for too long. Approach? Question her about her motives? Ask about the strange writing? All of the above?]

Like a mother has no reason to fear her child, I have no reason to fear Rhaegal.
no subject
And what a child you have, my lady. He is magnificent.
no subject
He is. [ She smiles, caressing the dragon softly. He all but purrs in response. ]
I can understand your surprise my lady, dragons in my own land have been thought to be dead for over a hundred years. However when alive they only kept company with my family, I have heard of no others who managed to tame one.
no subject
It has not been so long in my land, though they were rare centuries before the last was slain.
no subject
Why were they slain?

I can assure you my dragons are nothing like those of your land.

I have been here well over a year. In that time I have seen much that I would have not previously thought possible. I have learned much. I will confess, I am still unnerved by dragons. That is not likely to change- some eight thousand years of instinct are difficult to suppress. But I know not all are like those I have known. It would be foolish to assume so.
Your children have nothing to fear from me.
no subject
Eight thousand years, my lady? [ She can think of no way that any human could survive for such along time. ]

I am Galadriel, Lady of Lothlórien. I am of the Eldar- an elf, in the common tongue- and among the eldest of my kind to remain in Middle Earth. [Simply put, she's not human.]
no subject
Gathering herself she lifts her chin. ]
Well met, Lady Galadriel. I am Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen, first of her name, Mother of Dragons, the Unburnt, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, and the Rightful Queen of the Andals, the Rhoynar, and the First Men.
If it pleases you, I would have you address me as Khaleesi.
no subject
[She smiles a bit at that tremendous list of titles. She certainly has a few more she could throw around, but she likes to keep them up her sleeve.]
Khaleesi, it shall be, then.
no subject
Pleased, she smiles a tiny smile. Rhaegal lifts his head again, shifting in his perch. Daenerys turns her attention the books, forehead furrowing slightly. ]
The books you are ready seem heavy.
no subject
Rest assured, I do not practice such things myself. I seek only to better understand our common captor.
no subject
So it is true it feasts on our souls?
no subject
We have reason to believe so, though I cannot say for certain.
no subject
You have doubts?

no subject
Precisely so. And it is far more able to hide what it wishes than most.
no subject
So you cannot cease digging for the truth.

I have no intention of standing idly by and waiting for my return. I am needed by my realm and my people.
