I'm sure everyone has noticed the new journals by now. Seems like we'll have a clean slate for this new year. I can't help wondering if this is a good or bad thing.

[River hums softly in thought for a few moments before resuming with her entry]

I have some important news to share. It has to do with the Doctor and I, but since I haven't yet gotten around to telling said news to my own parents, I'll settle for this.

The Doctor and I will be renewing our vows. That's right! There's going to be a wedding, preferably in the spring. When the Doctor went through his latest 'update' it seems he now recalls our wedding. The initial event was hurried because of circumstances beyond our control, so we're going to renew our vows and go through all the bells and whistles this time.

That's true enough. Daleks would invade before we get a chance to say our vows.

Have I mentioned I distinctly don't like Daleks?

We really should work on wiping them out completely you know.

I'd work on that, except I still haven't a clue where they've gone off to since they came out of that progenitor thingamawhatsit. They're all different colors, now, did you know that?

Yes, I'm well aware of that fact. Whatever the case is, just be thankful they're not here in the castle.

Oh I am immensely grateful they're not here. I think we have enough trouble coming our way without having to deal with them as well.

That's certainly true. And if it's not daleks getting in our way, it's the Cybermen.
