I'm sure everyone has noticed the new journals by now. Seems like we'll have a clean slate for this new year. I can't help wondering if this is a good or bad thing.

[River hums softly in thought for a few moments before resuming with her entry]

I have some important news to share. It has to do with the Doctor and I, but since I haven't yet gotten around to telling said news to my own parents, I'll settle for this.

The Doctor and I will be renewing our vows. That's right! There's going to be a wedding, preferably in the spring. When the Doctor went through his latest 'update' it seems he now recalls our wedding. The initial event was hurried because of circumstances beyond our control, so we're going to renew our vows and go through all the bells and whistles this time.

Amy? Rory? Please get in touch with me. Or the Doctor, whomever you're more comfortable with.

I had no idea the Doctor was married! I would love to come, if I could.

It's very complicated, this whole married or marrying thing. Believe me, he only just found out himself.

If I have things my way, the wedding will be open invitation.

I can imagine it's even harder with the Doctor. But in any case, I'm happy for you both.

Oh, love's always worth it in the end. All the hardships that have passed and are still yet to come.

Well that's certainly one way to announce it.

It's just, I'm happy and there's so much to get ready if it's going to happen in spring.

I promise there won't be too much wedding drama. Hopefully, anyway.

Congratulations, I do believe are in order. Though whether it should be about you renewing your vows or him now knowing of the event, I will let you decide.

I think a congratulations on both would be acceptable. It's been a long road and he and I have quite often walked it in opposite directions. It's rather nice to be on the same footing for once.

Indeed, I imagine it is. And I am, extraordinarily happy for you both, even if it is here, and not elsewhere. At least you can enjoy what time you have together happier for it, I hope.

Thank you James, you're too kind. The only issue we have right now is how to break this to my parents.

It's quite a leap, as I'm sure you can understand.

I didn't know the Doctor was married. I'm really glad of it. He's one of the best men I've ever known.

Believe me it came as a surprise to him as well. Just the bow tie wearing one is currently married.
