Dictated; Open to Action for Kitchen

[modernholmes]

 [Today Conan is in the kitchen.  He's at the table, slightly smug at his victory over acquiring a full mug of black coffee with no adults in the room to object.  As he waits for it to cool slightly he opens his journal and begins to dictate out a few messages.]

Hey, do you still want to learn all about Holmes?  The real Holmes, I mean.  I'm going to be in the library later today if you want to do some reading.

Has anyone heard of any interesting mysteries?  I've been hearing about some place  called Insolitus I want to check out. 

Have you gotten over your tantrum yet?.

There have been some new developments.  We need to talk.
Ne, ne!  I've been wondering something.  What kinds of detectives do you have at home?  It would be interesting to compare, don't you think?

[And with his messages taken care of Conan goes to take his first sip of coffee.  And immediately spits it out in disgust.  The expression of distaste on his face only grows as he identifies exactly what his coffee had tasted like.]

Vermouth?

...Television? [Hasn't been invented yet, and he hasn't really heard about it while he's been here.]

[He sighs.]

Right. I forgot your time. Television is similar to movies, but the variety of programs is greater and it is viewed within private homes.

[blue_sniper]

...Huh. Sounds interesting. [But he still doesn't buy it.] So you somehow knew the taste of vermouth from watching a television program?

[modernholmes]

It described the taste and qualities.

[blue_sniper]

[...Man, this kid is good.] You have an answer to everything, don't you?

[modernholmes]

Of course.

[blue_sniper]

[Bucky snorts.] So, what are you going to do, if everything you touch turns into alcohol?

[modernholmes]

Obviously, I won't be able to drink any of this.

[blue_sniper]

Obviously. But you just can't stop drinking altogether. Though I guess the Castle wouldn't keep you under it for a week. Maybe a few days. You'd just be really, really thirsty. [That's a really awful loss, Castle. Close to being harmful, but just enough not to be.]

[modernholmes]

If this doesn't wear off in a few days I will have to consider options.
