For a long time! I just... never announced it.

Well, that's great! [she'll smile] Anyways, it'll be fun. You guys have lattes and stuff, right?

Of course! [ Stares at Once-ler. ] Do you like those?

...Am I supposed to know what a lah-teh is? [Thneedville of the future might have that kind of stuff, but in Once-ler's time? NOPE]

It's like ... coffee with different flavors in it. In the fall they have stuff like "pumpkin lattes" that are really good.

It's pretty popular now, since Halloween is next month!

That sounds interesting enough to try, I guess.

Well, you take stuff like milk and sugar in your coffee, right? If you don't drink your coffee black then you'll probably like them.

[amiable]

How about... I make you one when you come? And if you don't like it, it's on the house!

Of course, even when I was dealing with deadlines I didn't touch it black. It was way too bitter.

Yeah, I think it's gross, but some people like it that way.

[ She grins right back. ]

Perfect! But I'm very good at making lattes~

I take it there's some sort of subtle art to them that isn't just 'get mug, pour out from pot'.

[she laughs] The art of the perfect latte.

It's not just art! [ She's rather serious about this now. ] When you make food or drinks for someone, you put effort into it. It's important that it makes them feel good.

...You're a big fan of the whole making people happier thing aren't you?

[ino]

Well, it's true that a meal cooked with love tastes better.

[amiable]

Making people happy is a great feeling. With food or something else... it doesn't matter to me. It's wonderful to see others smile.

[ Does this mean she and Shindou have the best meals ever... ponders... ]

I enjoy making people pancakes sometimes, that never fails to cheer people up.
