[After Damon's back from his incessant whining and complaining magical adventures as a pony, Damon cracks open that journal.]

I was under the distinct impression this place was more like Saw less Little Shop of Horrors. Then again, you guys told me there weren't any fairies and look at what showed up just days later.

You guys really aren't trying very hard to build some trust here, are you?

Anyway, all I need to know - the alcohol been replenished yet?

You know, I was just going to challenge you to something, but now the idea of you running around the city naked without anyone really noticing sounding' like a pretty good idea.

[ Hahah wow, Damon, at least you succeeded in making her laugh. At the sheer ridiculousness! ]

I don't think so. But I can go home, change, and be back before you get the chance to take another drink.

[He puts his hand on his glass.]

[He smiles.]

I got a feeling anything I request is going to get shot down.

[ In that case, she'll wait for the signal before zipping off. The small gust left behind barely gets the chance to settle before she's back like she never left, sporting jean shorts with a white, lacy camisole, not to mention a ridiculously giddy smile and disheveled hair. ]

I don't have to worry about getting cold, either.

[Damon lowered the glass as he swallowed. She was right. Beneath the surprise though, Damon was definitely curious as to how the hell this came about. He reaches over to move at least some of her hair back to where it should be.]

Welp, you've made a believer out of me. I'm gonna tell everyone to take their vitamins from now on.

[ Nose crinkling a bit as she wonders what he's thinking, she leans over on her arms again. ]

That's right. Lots of Vitamin D.

So what were your other plans tonight, anyway?

Oh, essentially the same thing I'm doing right now. [A beat.] You know, minus the superhuman parts.

Makes everything more fun, doesn't it?

It makes everything better. [He winks.]

[ At least she has the shame to blush, though barely, pulling away from the counter so she can start making herself another drink. It's just going to be a simple mocha this time, because meh alcohol. And remembering something that has absolutely nooothing to do with Damon. ]

You don't have to tell me that.

So how long you been all buffed out like this anyway? Was this before or after you faked your murder?

[ It's true, she's thinking about Clark! And the literal earthquake they caused. But why must that memory be bittersweet because Clark ruins everything...and lacking in romantic feelings also makes it slightly awkward. ]

...After. It's only been a few days.

Only a few days?

[She seems to have adjusted to it pretty quickly. Not that Damon's complaining. Lana's supposed to be on his side, so if she was causing a mess, he'd kinda be a little obligated to help clean it up.]

Don't look at me like that, I've already had to deal with enough of Clark's sanctimonious preaching.

[He holds up both of his hands.]</small. Hey, I wasn't about to get preachy. More just impressed.

Since I can actually be useful now?

[Well, that earns a frown.]

Wow, think worse of me, why don't you? [He rolls his eyes.] It's because I could care less what you do with your newfound little powers, Lana. My world? Doesn't revolve around you.

[ That gets a frown right back, maybe more of an offended pout, as she stiffens up. ]

I didn't mean it like that. Maybe you don't care about my powers, but I do.

Well then how did you mean it? Enlighten me.

[luthored]

I don't need to help you with anything, Damon. I want to. I wanted to before, but there was never anything I could do. Now I feel like I can do more than ever before, than anyone else, and I haven't even had the chance to celebrate it.

So maybe you should just celebrate with me and stop looking for insults where there are none. You don't need to constantly rub in how little you care about me.

[Well, it looks like powers come with a spine. Who knew? Whatever, roll with it.]

[He downs the rest of his drink.]

[ So now she'll smile again, albeit hesitantly, and go to refill his drinks. Lana doesn't really want to scare him away with her temper, so she's trying to keep a check on it. ]

How has Katherine been, anyway? Still channeling the 19th century?
