[Katniss has finished her morning exercises on the range - clearing her head and her heart as she pulls the journal towards her. Time to address ... the nightmares. Personal ... things. She sighed, scrubbed a hand over her face, before she started to write furiously.]

[Bluntly written.] That was my home, that was my childhood, that was my coming of age. It's gone now, just so you know. We ended it in a rebellion to end all rebellions.

[A pause, and a quieter..] I'm sorry what you saw of me there. Yes, Jim, even you.

[Perhaps the hardest thing she's ever written, but she'll write it.]

I would have traded places with you in the Capital in a heartbeat. You never should suffer. Never. You're the light ... you're the light in my world. [She's embarrassed, pushing her hair out of her face.] You've always given me hope. You're ... beautiful, and you only deserve beautiful things.

And yes, my words are all real. All true.

[Her pen pauses, then she continues.] Anything else I say on this, I say face to face, heart to heart.

Arya, I, and a few others are going for a hike. Anyone need any meat or herbs?

[Peeta's been avoiding people since the nightmare mess. Especially the people he loved. But his eyes stop at this filter. He reads it over and over, trying to breathe.

He grabs a pen and hurriedly writes.]

I'm coming to your room.

[He dashes into his bathroom. His hair was messy. He does his best to tame it. After a bit, he knocks on her door, his heart pounding in his chest.]

[Her eyes widen at his words - never have five words been more terrifying. She runs over to the sink herself, makes a face at herself as she washes quickly and rebraids her hair.]

[She sucks in a breath at his knock. She opens the door, slowly, biting her lower lip as she looked at him ... ]

[Then she took him by the hand, and pulled him inside, closing the door behind him firmly. Then she wrapped her arms around his waist, pressing her face into his neck and holding on tight.]

[He's so surprised- by her words and the sudden embrace. But it felt real and right. He hugs her back.]

[She laughs, a little shakily.]

Never.

[She closes her eyes.] I died, Peeta. I died in every single nightmare, even mine. [She feels the tremble in her body, and she wills herself to hold herself together because her fear is not why she wanted him here.] And it made me realize ... if I died, tomorrow, you'd never know. You would never how much I ... I need you. And care - about you.

[She sighed, resting her chin on his shoulder.] Love you. I do, Peeta. I love you.

Are those not words applying just as true for herself, save the rebellion? And even that could happen -- she just never reached a point where she could find out what became of the attempt.

Quickly as such wistful troubling thoughts and the inevitable hope associated with them arises, she pushes them aside...this is not the right time, place, or person]
