It does seem to be that way, most of the time.

I've heard there are ways of changing your loss, but mostly it involves cranial injury or falling down stairs or something.

It seems like that would make things worse...

Seems like that's how it works, though. Get knocked unconscious somehow and you might wake up with a new loss, or new memories from home.

I think there's probably something wrong with a person if they want to be concussed ...

Actually, all arena matches were heavily televised. It was the chief form of entertainment.

That's actually not surprising.

I suppose not. I find American reality television somewhat disconcerting, though.
