It is, I guess. I mean, it's my first whatever this is.

They're a bit mind-boggling the first time around, I admit. At least this time we weren't flung into a giant ocean.

_{[He came and sat beside Kurt, dark hair falling over his shoulders.]}

My name's Vanyel Ashkevron, by the by.

...Has that happened?

[Kurt smiles, though, when he sits, and offers his hand.]

Kurt Hummel. Nice to meet you.

It did, actually, not that long ago. We had 'Pokemon' or something.

_{[He takes the hand and gives a firm shake, his own palm heavily calloused from working magic and the sword and riding.]}

I'm guessing you're fairly new if you have not gone through a world change yet.

...Strange. [Kurt shrugs it off, though. In the past, right?]

I am. I got here around Halloween.

Halloween?

_{[He gives him a confused look. He was not familiar with the holiday and had been asleep during it.]}

...Yeah. You know, Halloween? Costumes and trick-or-treating?

[peacockherald]

_{[He shook his head.]}

I am not familiar with the holiday. It is not one we celebrate in my world.

[righttrack]

Oh, um... It's a day when kids dress up in costumes to get candy from their neighbors. It's about spooky things... Based on Pagan [Vague hand gestures.] stuff.

Ah, I shall have to take your word for it then. It sounds interesting, to say the least.

Though, this is not a celebration like that, I am afraid.

[righttrack]

It's pretty fun, really.

And yeah, I gathered.

It is an interesting sort of world, I grant you. It's more what I am used to, but all the buildings are taller.

_{[He looked down at the village and his mouth quirked a bit.]}

Alas, Yfandes is not present again. She misses out all the time.

[righttrack]

Yfandes is...?

Ah, apologies. Yfandes is my Companion. Unfortunately, the Castle does not like accommodating her nicely in these world shifts.

[righttrack]

What kind of companion?

[peacockherald]

_{[He always forgets people don't know what that means right off.]}

Oh, a capital 'C' - Companion. She is... well, the easiest explanation is a magical horse.

[righttrack]

Oh. Um, okay... That's not... That weird for this place, actually.

[peacockherald]

Heh, no, I suppose not. You could meet her when we get back to 'normal', so to speak. She likes meeting all the new people here.

[righttrack]

I wouldn't mind that.

_{[He smiled at that. Yfandes would be glad - and maybe proud.]}
