HOKAGE MONUMENT

HOKAGE MONUMENT In the mountains that tower over the whole village, the faces of all the previous Hokages (as well as the current one) are carved in stone. Climb up the stairs to go inside the mountain, and there is an archive library, as well as a place to safely evacuate those in danger. You also get a pretty sweet view of the village from above from up here!

[Hope you don't mind being interrupted by a tall, lanky British guy! He's wearing that standard ninja uniform, but there's a lab coat thrown over it, and he is carrying STACKS of books.

When he sees her, he gives her a rather goofy smile and chuckles.]

En-enriching your mind too, I take it?

[Nearby, this girl is doing the same thing, though she's flipping through her books a bit faster, as though she's looking for something specific. Finally, she looks over at Hermione.]

[ Duke's looking for books - more specifically, any books in braille.

He's not hoping to find many, but he is somewhat systematically picking books off of shelves and opening them to run his fingers over pages to see where they're kept. Hopefully he isn't being too noisy with it. ]

[Library means books, books means knowledge. Hank is there with a little pile of them, absorbing as much info as he can.]

[HEY BUDDY. Have your best friend interrupt your little session of solitude by sitting right next to you with his own pile of books. Granted, he doesn't actually speak (yet) but he does give you a wide grin and a little wave, picking up one of the history books in his pile.

[Oh hey, looks like someone else had the same idea.

Dairine is located at the other end of the library, curled up with a book. Hank might notice her machine presence has diminished somewhat since their last encounter.]

[Today, Kurt is okay with being stuck in the Dalton Academy uniform. The other clothes he woke up with didn't live up to his standards of fashion by any means. Still, more than feeling happy about that, he's confused about what the heck is going on. So he'll just be sitting on the lower steps of the monument, looking around and trying to figure out what he should do.]

[World changes aren't new, but they're still disorienting. And Stiles is very happy that he got to keep his plaid overshirt and t-shirt because god, that was way too much fishnet for anybody.]

[Alex walks up to the monument, eating from a plate that she may or may not have swiped from a paying customer at the ramen stand, and gives a little nod of acknowledgement when she sees Kurt. Like him, she's refused to put on that stupid uniform.]

Seeing as how you're the only other one who doesn't look like they missed Halloween -[She pauses to swallow the noodles in her mouth.]- I'm guessing you're from Paradisa too?

[Nikola Tesla, vampire genius extraordinaire, would have probably laughed at you if you told him that at some point, he would be a ninja. Well, he's not laughing now, based on the glower he's giving the entire place, but at least he's found a familiar place of knowledge- the library.]

[He's hanging out in something other than a suit or a vest, peering at the titles of the books as he walks through the shelves.]

...Is there even anything about the science in this world? I mean, really, this is ridiculous.

[Somewhere down the stacks is this man dressed almost entirely in white and idly flipping through a volume]

I imagine that would give you an advantage.

[ Tony Stark, a fellow genius extraordinaire (though of the billionaire playboy philanthropist variety,) was also visiting the library.

Thankfully, he managed to round up an almost-normal outfit - black pants and a T-shirt, though prominently emblazoned with the Stark Industries logo on the back..... clan emblem? Whatever, he didn't look nearly as badly dressed as Tesla.

What's really ridiculous here is your outfit.

[Gren isn't in the library, but somewhere on top, where he's getting a good look at wherever it is he's ended up. His clothes aren't the worse he's seen around town so far. He's thankful, in any case, that it isn't a dress.

He shades his eyes and gives a vaguely impressed whistle]

The village is far larger than I thought.

[Looks like a certain blond wanted to scope out the area as well. He seems to have scrounged up an outfit that is not completely ridiculous, at least by his standards. Almost exactly like an outfit he had many years ago in fact.

Still, one would think that a 6'7" man in boots (where could he have managed to find a pair in this town, let alone in his size?) would not be stealthy enough to have snuck up behind even a fairly inattentive person.]

[ If Duke finds where any braille books are in this place, someone may be needed to drag him out to make sure he ate.

As it is, he's pulling books off shelves, one row at a time, searching for where those books he can read are. ]

Dairine can be found perusing the bookshelves, looking for interesting reads. So many new books, so little time.]
