15 - fury of the night - action

[There's a dragon in the kitchen. If you frequent the kitchen, you'll know this isn't a very uncommon sight. He's currently at the fridgerator, which he pries open with his claws. He freezes, staring at the contents.

That is a big tuna.

He reaches forward to snap it up, but it just moves farther back into the fridgerator. He snorts and shakes his head, looking disgruntled and turns away, seeming to give up, but then he pauses again, and stands very still, looking over his shoulder and wing at the fish.

Quite suddenly, the kitchen is alive with banging and metallic clanging. Toothless seems to be having quite the vicious fight with the fridge as he snaps wildly at the fish inside, trying to get at it. There's a loud BANG as the fridge hits the floor, but Toothless is undeterred, scratching and clawing and biting, pushing his feet against the ground to let him reach just a little further, and... now there's just food and water all over the place, as well as a couple shelves of the fridge on the ground, and Toothless is still trying fruitlessly to grab at the tuna that's slipping so deftly around in the fridge.

Sure is a good thing you can wish for food at your leisure, huh, residents?]

[He briefly looks at Eridan, rather confused in the shift of his tone. At the question, though, he looks around, then begins to explore the area for the tuna fish.

Eridan might notice-- it's laying innocently on the floor just outside the kitchen door, completely unscathed despite all the chaos that just took place.]

[That is one tough tuna. Eridan strides passed Toothless, bowing over as he picks up the fish with both hands and turns back towards Toothless, raising a brow.]

Is this wwhat you're lookin' for?

[Toothless looks over...

and then just sits down, staring longingly at that fish.

Give.]

[Well sure, why wouldn't he?

He's just gonna hold out the fish to Toothless.]

Go for it.

[Toothless lunges forward, snapping at the fish.

Which will probably end up in Eridan's face for the second time. At least Toothless isn't pouncing on him this time.]

[his precious face.....

Eridan tosses the fish to the ground and removes his glasses, rubbing the lenses with his cape.]

Wwhat the shit is goin' on here, fuckin' food attackin' me like I'm some kinda danger to it's wwellbein' or somethin'.

[Putting them back on, he returns his attention to Toothless.]

Seriously, wwhat the fuck is wwith this fish?

[A disgruntled little noise comes from Toothless as he lowers his body, then pounces on the fish.

Tries to, at least, but the bugger flops away. He gives an irritated grunt.]

[Okay, no, it is a cold day in troll hell when Eridan Motherfucking Ampora is defeated by a tuna.

...if there even is a troll hell.

Eridan follows the fish over and picks it up again.]

[And he's holding it out towards Toothless again.]

Alright, go for it.

This time for sure I am not fuckin' this up.

[Toothless looks at Eridan skeptically for a moment, then looks down at the tuna, slinking over slowly, opening his mouth...

And the closer he gets, the more the fish wriggles in Eridan's grasp, almost as though it were coming to life. Toothless' eyes narrow when he sees this and he snarls as he suddenly lurches forward and snaps at the fish.

The fish breaks from Eridan's hold and socks him in the stomach. Ouch.]

[...his precious digestion tubes...

Good thing trolls are made of tougher stuff than humans though.]

Okay, wwhat is goin' on wwith this fish?

[He's picking it up by the tail now, and looking it over.]

It's clearly dead.

Yet absconds evvery fuckin' time you try an' eat it.

[There's a very frustrated hum from Toothless as he watches Eridan inspect the fish, and he leans forward, trying to snap the tuna out of Eridan's hand. Half of it's body actually bends away from Toothless so he can't grab it.]

Oh, I think I get it.

[Staring at it for a second, then looking at Toothless.]

Is this your loss or somethin'?

[He snorts, looking at Eridan. Toothless doesn't know what's going on. He only knows that this has been happening for as long as he's been at the castle.

It's up to Eridan to call the shots.]
