There's plenty there to practice with, though I'd recommend an instructor.

That sounds good! What's... Not too lethal?

Well, nothing really...? Guns are sort of meant to be lethal. It actually takes more skill to be able to hit somebody and not hurt them too badly. Now, there are different kinds of rounds you can use for some guns that are meant to be nonlethal, but you still have to be careful with them.
