So, does anyone know if there's a place in this castle where I can learn to use weapons or just to fight?

[NOT MENTIONING THE KISSING INCIDENT. She managed to get away with only one run-in so far, and she still has no idea what happened, except for the fact that she is the worst.]

It's okay, it's good you're learning how to defend yourself. After all, you never know when this place will take your powers away.

So... What are we starting with?

Well, we'll start with a pistol crossbow, first. They're fairly light so you don't have to worry so much about lifting it.

Yu can see it there. When it's off, it'll click and look like this. [Doop doop, demonstraitin' a demonstrate]

[Mavis watches carefully.]

Oh, okay. I see... I'll be sure to remember that. So... How do I shoot it?

Okay, just aim it at the target, try to aim for the dead center. And the pull this trigger here.

Oh, oh, okay! I can do that... I mean, I think-

No, I can definitely do that. Is there anything else I need to know?

[She'll hand it over]

[She takes the weapon with a smile that quickly fades.]

[She'll offer a fangy smile]

[She's not sure how to take that. Either way, she'll be nervous as she aims and shoots, but she does her best to stay steady.]

[Maladict smiles, standing back, letting her try it herself]

[She beams at Maladict, no even bothering to check to see how well she did. She's... Very trusting.]

Really? Holy rabies, this is great!

[Mavis you need to stop being precious right now]

See? Nothing more freeing than knowing how to shoot a weapon at someone.

Well, it's not like I want to, I just have to be safe, you know?

Oh no, of course not. No one wants to. [Well, she does. Sometimes] But it is better to be safe than sorry.

Yeah, that's exactly my thinking. And this way, I can look out for other people, too, if they need help.
