[Mistress's chambers are never a good place to find yourself uninvited. For one, there are all sorts of weird things lying around, like skulls and whips and not-completely-phallic objects. For another, Mistress is very temperamental, and dislikes being disturbed.

Especially when she's trying to sleep. Which she is. Because heaven knows she's not getting invited to any all-night orgies in this place, so why bother staying up? So she's just sort of peacefully dozing, or a peacefully as she's really capable of being.

Until, of course, the castle decides it wants to be her best friend.

[Starting to back away at that.] You really don't have to. I think it'd be better if I go.

[themistress]

Better for who? [But Mistress is just being snarky now, and frowning, glaring at her nails with a snort.

The castle must agree with her, though, because the doors abruptly disappear.]

What the hell? Why are the doors gone?

[Suddenly agitated.]

[themistress]

[She is a lot less concerned by this turn of events than he is, though she does still look up with interest.]

Yes, that is rather curious, isn't it?

[dontpatr0nizeme]

Fucking castle bullshit.

[Off the bed and pacing now]

[themistress]

What are you doing? [Mistress actually seems more bewildered by his pacing than by the doors' disappearance.] Stop that, you'll just drive yourself crazy.

[dontpatr0nizeme]

I don't like being confined. We are trapped here.

[themistress]

Yes, but that [she gestures vaguely at his pacing] isn't terribly productive. Now, the doors were here until you tried to leave. If we were really trapped in this single room, the doors wouldn't have been there at all, would they?

[dontpatr0nizeme]

Hell if I know. It's the fucking castle's bullshit.

[Still pacing, not getting any less agitated.]

[themistress]

Stop pacing, you are just making it worse for yourself.

[dontpatr0nizeme]

So you expect me to just sit here like a good boy and wait for the castle to get bored enough to let us out?

[themistress]

I expect you to stop acting ridiculous. Even if we are stuck here, my chamber doors didn't disappear until you were trying to leave me. I would assume that means we are stuck here in my castle room, not my chambers. Unless, of course, one of us is trying to escape the other.

Now stop fucking pacing so I can try some spells. Maybe I can at least get the doors back so that we have access to the rest of my castle.

Fine. Go ahead. Maybe the castle will play nice when you try. We might get lucky.

[themistress]

[Huffing, Mistress just goes over and inspects where the door used to be. After a moment of thought, her outstretched hands glow blue, and she just sort of stares at the wall, brows knit.

This, predictably, doesn't do much of anything.]

[dontpatr0nizeme]

[Just watching Mistress.]

[themistress]

[She tries several more times, but the most she can manage is to get the wall shaking ominously.

With a sigh, she turns back to Washington, shrugging, before grabbing a (completely sheer and open) dressing gown off a chair.]

I can't break through. The doors left when you started to get up. Maybe you need to do something to make them come back.

Well, magic usually has to be broken by the originator. Even if we can't get the door back, I think you'll be able to bring the wall down.

I know that. I haven't taught you anything yet.

I don't need magic. Perfectly fine without it.
