[ There's definitely something not right about GLaDOS. For one, she's looking so terribly happy. Two, she's wearing a pink sweater and loads of accessories- is that a skirt? And three, she's in the kitchen, curiously pondering over a cake recipe. A lovely chocolate one, of course.

It takes her awhile, and quite a bit of courage, but finally, she opens the journal and dictates, rather softly: ]

Does anyone want to join me in the kitchen?... I'm making chocolate cake for the Feast... you can even have a slice when it's done, if you want! I'm sure we'll make enough...!

[ She's still a little jittery from that dictation, letting out a little sigh and waiting. It wouldn't do to start making it without anyone if anyone wanted to join her... right? ]

[ She seems visibly happy about this, even blushing at her journal. ]

Wheatley! Um. Um... Do you have any decorations? Maybe we could decorate it. I think I have all the baking stuff here...

Decorate? What you gonna decorate it for? It ain't no puppy.

Well, it's a pretty cake for the Feast, you know? I wanted it to look nice so everyone could enjoy it...

[ She trails off a little. Maybe it was a bad idea... ]

Aha! Alright. Alright.
You and yo' pretty things. Always gotta be pretty.
I got you.
I'll bring some bows or som'n.
Som'n pretty fo' you n' all.

[He's chuckling. She was always so bubbly. It was adorable.]

[ Have a little shy giggle, in unison with his chuckle. ]

Ehehe... thank you, dear! I'll be waiting in the kitchen.

[In wanders Mabel, finally glad to see some people caring about the Feast. She takes a glance at GLaDOS standing around in the kitchen and raises a brow.]

Are you waiting for permission or something?

[ She turns at the sound of the girl's voice, a little flustered. ]

N-no... I was just wondering if anyone wanted to join me. B-Before I started...

[Help? With the cake? When she can just let someone else do all the work?]

Oh. I have... other things to do. But you know what? You go right on ahead and make the cake. I'll be back when it's finished to sample it and make sure it's good enough for the Queen's Feast. I'll still be helping in the end, you see?

[ She blinks- well, that sounded fair enough. ]

You'll really sample it? Thank you!

[ Oh my god why is she so stupid. ]

I'll start making it right away, then...!

Great! I knew we could all count on you. Oh, and be sure to put extra frosting on that, just the way I--I mean, just the way the Queen likes it.

Oh-! Thanks for telling me. I might have forgotten!

[ So genuinely concerned. She's too dumb to catch the slip-up... ]

[Chell stares at her journal. First Wheatley? Now GLaDOS? What on Earth is going on here? No seriously what! Chell picks up her pen and scribbles a message back.]

GLaDOS? Are you all right? I will come and help you make cake...But you are acting strangely.

[ She seems a little confused and nervous by the message, dictating back. ]

Um... Of course I'm alright...!

[ Weird. GLaDOS hesitated before continuing. ]

You're going to help me?... Th-Thank you!...

[Well that does it. Something is very very very wrong here. Gathering her journal and clipping the pen over the tie in her ponytail, she's off and out the door and jogging toward the tower stairs, heading to the kitchen.

A few moments later, she'll just poke her head around the door frame like she's totally expecting a trap.]
