If your greatest enemy arrived here and you had a chance to make them pay for all that they have done, knowing that their death will only be temporary, would you do it? Would you take the chance? Or would you let them live?
[ It frustrates her, not knowing what to do now that he is here. On the one hand she wants to kill him, she wants to make him suffer; for lying to her, for poisoning her, for ruining every one of her plans. (It was him! It was always him!)
Yet on the other hand... on the other hand she doesn't, some lingering feelings want to forgive him. But can she? Does she have the capacity to forgive him after everything? ]
Could you forgive them? For all the harm they have caused to befall you? For all the loss and torment?
I find myself at a cross roads with no idea where to turn, however I want to pose these questions to you Paradisa.
What would you do?

Because he'd always believed he could save her from the path she'd travelled down on, and that he should have noticed she'd started it. If anything he says makes a difference- He should, despite the state of things]
I would let them live. [Because, technically, let's be honest here...He already has. ] Even if death became permanent here.
[He'd say more, but- For the moment, he leaves it. He doesn't believe she'll listen to anything he says very easily]

Let her live.
Even before he forget everything he had let her live, he did not strike her down when she was at her weakest. And now? Now he is doing the same thing, whether he knows it or not.
But he has not forgiven her, not that she ever expects his forgiveness. ]
And then what?

Just for revenge? No. I can't forgive him and I'm not against for eye for an eye, buuuut losing himself to his own vengeance caused it all in the first place. I don't wanna end up like that.
But...if it was to stop him from slaughtering more people? I'd try to cut him down as many times as it takes.

That is a wise choice. [ She has seen herself become consumed by her revenge, part of her still is, she knows how much it can destroy a person. ]
Your answer contradicts itself a little, sir, but I believe I understand. Your enemy is someone who has killed many, and to stop him from killing more you are willing to carry a stigma upon yourself and kill him over and over again.

What do you imply by 'temporary'? Are we speaking figuratively?

I am afraid not this place, Paradisa, it does not conform to rules of death. People still die, yes, but the dead do not remain dead. After two weeks they return as they were; fully and alive.

[ Does this answer come as a surprise to her? No matter, this is something she thinks she needs to hear. ]
And yes, I would also forgive. No one is immune to loss or tragedy. The only thing that separates each person is how they decide to combat it. .. I would fear that, if I did not forgive, that rage would consume everything that I am until I was no more.
[ Her voice softens as she continues: ] It is never too late to forgive, Morgana.

I fear you may be wrong, my lady, I fear there is a time where forgiveness is no longer an option.

I never would have forgiven them initially. Although this castle has a tendency of forcing things on you- so your decision doesn't always matter, in the end.
I tried to kill my own. We ended up married.
[ Rather matter of factly. ]
You have to be ready to deal with your enemy multiple times if you actually kill them, though.

Death is temporary here, huh? [What a cop-out.]
If that's the case, unless he's actively out to kill you as well, then I fail to see the point in attempting to carry out empty acts of revenge.
Though I would not seek to do so myself in this place.
no subject
[ It is the biggest cop-out. ]
What would you do then instead?
