I find it difficult to grasp the notion that none noticed by absence. Truly, I am horrified still at what transgressed, having had to depend on a strange but noble woman for escort, only to return and find none the wiser.

I have found that comfort is in short supply here. Though I find it strange you do not engage in swordplay, I care more for results than anything.

Guns kill just as easily as a blade. [...] Though if you prefer a more slow and painful way for someone to be dealt with, I do have an affinity for bludgeoning weapons.

How is it they do not understand that my suggestion is a means of helping them? How do those borne of England offer no loyalty toward it? Can they not see that together we are stronger than we are apart?

[Here's a neutral tone. She's keeping it objective. All her time among lawyers has made it easy for her.]

People don't like being talked down to. People who consider themselves "better" than others and actively act on it will always be met with defiance, especially in a place where everyone is from different times and worlds.

Not everyone will identify with what it is you're trying to get across, and most will miss the point if they think all you care about is ruling them with an iron fist.

These fools are lucky that my husband is not here to respond to such blatant blasphemy and treason. Or perhaps I ought to consider him the lucky one for not being forced to suffer such disregard for law and order.

Surprisingly enough, there is very little here in the way of crime and chaos. Those who do anything to harm residents or townspeople are quickly taken care of, and people otherwise keep to themselves. [IF IT MAKES YOU FEEL ANY BETTER-- haha, well at lesst she's trying.]

I find this difficult to believe, given how little order there is...

'Taken care of'? How so? Is there a dungeon?

I suppose chaos is subjective. [She's being conversational and open at this point. Does it count as playing the devil's advocate if you disagree to begin with?]

As far as I've witnessed, there is a jail of sorts, both under the castle and in the dead zone, where powers are nullified.

Dead zone? Where is this? And who seizes the criminals, if there is nobody to rule and give orders?

If you go far enough, there is a part of this land where people with superhuman powers lose said abilities. I'm sure it's marked off, but I have yet to visit it myself. That being said, it's usually those people with those superhuman powers who do the policing.
