Frodo;
[ She has the ghosts return his cloak to him. ]

You ought have your cloak back.

Zelos;
[ S'up Zelos. This is a home invasion. And by home invasion I mean she's standing on the sidewalk in front of the house long after night fell. ]

[He says fondly as he puts a hand on her head and slides into the bed where she directed him to go. ]

[ She smiles into Curry's fur. ]

Yes. All your other stories were about your friends. I want to hear of you. I like hearing of you. You must have done a lot. You ought have a million stories. But you can pick just the one now.

[He rubs the back of his neck. WHY KID WHY]

And lemme guess, no deterring you either, huh.

[ it's either story time or-- ]

Why would you try to deter me?

[ --answering that and its related questions. your choice. ]

[Because half my stories are NC-17 child]

Heh heh, oh no reason.

Lemme think a moment, okay?

[ Eh, she's seen/heard worse. ]

[ She pets Curry while she waits. She is tired, but she wills herself awake. ]

[ Shhhh don't tell him that]

[there's a long pause as he tries to think of SOMETHING, but it all keeps going back to the tower]

Hmmm, I guess there's the time I tricked Cruxis.

[wolfchild]

[ Her eyes flit to his face. She stops petting Curry in favor of hugging her close. ]

How did you do it?

[wilder]

Well, to start off, when I was about...oh maybe a year older than you? I was pretty unhappy about being the Chosen, but I didn't know what to do about it.

But then one day? Someone from Cruxis showed up in my house with an offer. I worked for them for awhile, and they would free me of my status.

[wolfchild]

But you're born to it. How could they take it away?

[wilder]

It's not easy, but if anyone had the power to do it at that time? It was Cruxis- they pretty much ran the world.

[wolfchild]

You said yes. [ Her brow furrows as she thinks. ] Your sister would have been Chosen after you.

[wilder]

It's what I thought she wanted and it would've freed her from the abbey. So at the time, it seemed like two birds with one stone.

[wolfchild]

Why would you leave her with something so bad even if you thought she wanted it?

[wilder]

Can we just go with the short answer of I was an idiot?

[wolfchild]

[ She snorts. ]

A very stupid one.

[ That would be a yes. ]

[wilder]

Yeah, yeah - I know.

[But good this is not the time for Wilder sibling drama]

Anyway, I agreed to their deal but I was immediately skeptical. Never heard of any other Chosen have the title taken away before and there's nothing that special Chosen-wise about me. Figured out pretty quick they had no regard for me. They just wanted to use me- probably would throw me aside once they were through.

Little bit later I was approached by a group called the Renegades. They were bent on bringing Cruxis down, but they weren't exactly a whole lot better. But they offered me the same deal- help them take down Cruxis and I'd be freed.

So, instead of picking one side? I picked both. Did what they ask, all the while playing them off each other until I could decide which ones were worth putting loyalties into.

[wolfchild]

Neither. [ She speaks fiercely. Her time with the Brotherhood is still too fresh. Harwin and Anguy and the rest, they didn't deserve loyalty. Even Gendry. ]

[wilder]

[Poor poor Gendry]

Years passed. I kept up what I was doing without many incidents.

Then they both asked me to travel with a group that had come from another world, to keep an eye on them. This group seek a way to stop the bloodshed and suffering that'd been going on for millenia. But unlike the other two groups- they weren't interested in doing it by using and killing whomever they saw fit.
