First case.
[As soon as Tim found himself suddenly transported to a strange new place, he scurried over to a shadow and began to gather intel. Wherever he went, a journal appeared at the area he was inspecting. After awhile he realized it was the same journal appearing over and over. So, he finally picked it up and began to read through it. The entries gave him a decent idea of what was going on. Combing the entries with the view of the sky made it obvious he was no longer on Earth. Tim was no stranger to the multiverse. He knew that the name “Wayne” was recognized in some of the alternative Earths.
When Tim finally dictates an entry of his own, his voice comes out sounding nervous and awkward. Instead of introducing himself as Tim Drake, the ward of multi-billionaire Bruce Wayne, he's Alvin Draper; confused high-school student.]
Okay, so I know there's the whole “be careful what you wish for”, but this is kind of overkill. And by “kind of”, I mean completely. I just wanted to get out of my Calculus test! A fire alarm or sneeze attack would have worked.
[His voice sounds increasingly nervous as he speaks.]
So, uh, my name is Alvin Draper and I'm not from around here. I don't even know if I'm from the same world as this place. This is what I get for wishing I was in all of those sci-fi novels I've read, huh? Ahaha. Seriously, I never going to wish for anything again. Anyway, um, if anyone could let me know what's going on here and how I get back home, that would be great. Thanks.
[ooc: Just as a side note, since Tim's father is in a coma and not dead in his memories, he currently thinks he's the ward of Bruce Wayne and not his adopted son.]

Tim
How long have you been here?
Steph.
A couple of hours. When I first arrived here I checked out the first floor. This place is huge.
Tim
Very huge. How much have you figured out?
[She'll start with these questions first, not "Hey, do you know me as Batgirl?" Then she can be thrilled and excited, or smack her forehead into her desk.]
Steph.
Tim
Next question: who am I? Cowl-wise, that is. I know you know who I am.
Steph foreveerr.
Batgirl [Initially he finds the question strange, but as he continues to read Kara's entry, the question makes more sense.] Now my turn to ask questions; how long have you been here for?
no subject
Three years. It's just about my anniversary, actually.
[Kara for Christmas, and Tim for her anniversary?]

no subject
We should probably be having this conversation in person, though. Where are you?
no subject
I'm by a really big staircase, it looks like it goes up to the second floor.

[Steph's quick to run her fingers through her hair, and hurry downstairs. She lives in one of the towers, so she approaches from the side--wearing a big smile.
Tim's always been a complicated part of her life, but seeing a familiar face here is a relief.
So much of a relief, in fact, that she walks right up to him and pulls him into a hug.]
no subject
Tenses up for a brief moment because contact like this with Steph is always a dangerous thing, but he quickly shakes it off. She's been here for three years, possibly all by herself during that time. If nothing else, he owes her a hug for that reason alone.
Returns the hug and glances down at her.]
You really have been here for three years, haven't you?
no subject
She's appeased when he hugs back, and so she lets him go.]
It hasn't been that long since I last saw you, but it's always good to see a familiar face.
no subject
When was the last time you saw me?
no subject
[She lowers her voice.]
So most of the people who knew "Tim Drake" are probably gone. Don't worry, Alv.
no subject
[Probably not the best word to use, but he doesn't like the idea of people who are strangers to him, knowing all about his personal business.]
I take it I never went by Alvin Draper the last time I was here?
no subject
Nope. Tim Drake all the way. Both times. My guess is that there are maybe two hundred people here, in a magical castle that tends to throw your privacy into the trash when it feels like it. It's not easy being sneaky.
no subject
That's a relief. If I had to go around talking like the original Alvin Draper all the time, that would get annoying fast.
no subject
[That feels like so long ago. Probably because it is.]
I've been flying solo here for a while, and now Kara and you have shown up. I hit the jackpot.
no subject
I don't plan to be stuck here nearly as long as you've been. If there's a way in here, there's a way out of here.
no subject
[A smile, but he wasn't able to figure it out before. Not even Bruce. Any Bruce.]
That's the hope. There's a lot in this world that hasn't been explored.
no subject
[Stares at the nearest window thoughtfully.]
We've never needed powers to find out what we need. [Although they have needed a wealth of technology.]
no subject
[Enjoy that snowy expanse. Steph follows his gaze, slipping her hands into the pockets of her sweater.]
It's old-school exploring out there. Campfires, horses... all that stuff.
no subject
[His gaze lingers on the window for awhile longer, before he returns his attention back to her.]
I have a few more questions for you, but we should move somewhere more private first.
no subject
You can meet my roommate.
[A smile, and she starts heading back the way she came. Keep up, Tim!]
