Wonderland: Day One

The residents of Paradisa who ventured into the lobby on the 13th would find something new there; a mirror spanning an entire wall. Given recent happenings, who can blame them if they're cautious? Trouble is, this mirror seems to really want to bring people in, because you don't have to get too close before you're through the looking glass.

Once you've gone, you may find that you're not quite yourself.

[Notes/Reminders: Type 1 and Type 2 characters will believe they are Wonderland natives. All characters, including those not entering Wonderland, will be able to use their journals; Wonderland "natives" will think it is a communication device exclusive to Wonderland, although communication between Paradisa and Wonderland through the journals is absolutely possible. You may NPC any number of Tulgey Wood creatures, except for the Jabberwocky.]

Sweet Rabbit, I never get a good night's sleep, but your concern is touching.

[ If he wants to whip up some beds he can, but it will make no difference to her. Chances are she will not sleep, or maybe she will, perhaps she will fall asleep into a deep and dreamless sleep.

Well, you could use a fire regardless. We don't know how cold it'd get here at night. And as for a bed? It's something always handy anyway.

[ Arya picks a good patch of floor to sit down. When Bunny's gone, she looks at Morgana. ]

Why were you alone?

[ She watches the exit until Arya speaks, turning her head to face the girl.

The face is the same but her eyes, they look older, they have seen too much. ]

I didn't want to see that face again, it isn't supposed to be here, so it can't be real. I ran from it, from him.

[wolfchild]

From who?

A man I loved, a man who left.

[wolfchild]

I'm sorry.

[scinlae]

Don't be. [ She smiles sadly. ] I've just gone mad, it will pass. [ It has to pass. ]

Your hair is shorter.

[wolfchild]

[ She runs a hand through the shorn ends. ]

I had to keep it short so I wouldn't be raped on the way.

[ Unlike others she does not gape, instead her expression is understanding. ]

You did what you had to do.

I didn't do it. Yoren cut it.

Yoren? [ A MAN RIGHT? What a shitty job he did. ]

He promised to get me home. He died.

I'm sorry. [ She shifts before moving over to join Arya. ]

[wolfchild]

[ She shrugs faintly. Yoren made her a promise, but so did a lot of people. They all died. ]

[scinlae]

[ She is sorry Arya never got home, sorry that those who made her promises failed. ]

It is uneven, your hair, perhaps later we can fix it.

I don't really care about my hair. Fixed or not, it's still ugly.

When I was younger, I would come back to the castle with twigs and leaves in my hair.

[ She tilts her head. ]

For a time I am sure my guardian though it would be nearly impossible to make me into a lady of the court.
