 [Danny groans as he wakes up in his own bed.  In the worst pain he's been in since ever.  Being chewed on and knocked around by a giant dragon thing will do that.

He hated fighting dragons.

He gives brief thought to just trying to take care of himself, but the pain coming from his ribs quickly makes him change his mind.  Not to mention the spreading bloodstains he could see.

This sucked so much, but Danny really didn't see much of a choice.  After a couple attempts he manages to snag his journal and open it.]

Um, hello?  Could I get a little help please?  I'd ask for bandaids too, but somehow I don't think that's going to cut it this time.

[A little while later, Danny can hear some light thumps as Blues comes up the stairs. He doesn't bother knocking and just comes in, this guy needed help after all. He spotted the bloodstains through the blanket.]

Do you know the way to the clinic?

[Danny winces as he tries to twist enough to look at his visitor.]

Yeah, I know the way. Just not sure if I can get there like this.

[Maybe he could float his way down, but that would probably bring up some questions he didn't want to answer.]

That's what I'm here for, I'll get you there in one piece.

[Blues moved to grab a spare sheet and tore it up to make some makeshift bandages. He had learned to wrap an injury while he traveled but didn't know much else. He had no need to.]

Okay, before I move you, let me see your injuries.

[Danny makes a face, but pulls up his shirt enough to show the problem. Mostly bruises of different shades all over his torso, with a few deeper cuts. From their placement you might almost think that some kind of giant animal with far too many teeth had tried to chew on him.]

[Blues doesn't react to that look, he knows he's given it enough times himself. Instead he focuses on wrapping the deeper cuts, the last thing he wants is for this guy to bleed out before he gets to clinic.]

You don't have to tell me what happened, but is what ever did this still around?

You noticed big, mean and scaly, right? That's what happened. And I'm on my way to the clinic.

[Still, he cares, a touch reluctantly because damnit you are too much like the frostbite] Good. Take it easy, rest up.

I'll be fine. It just chewed on me a little. [He was more annoyed that he hadn't been able to do anything against it.]

Okay, so it tried to chew on me a lot. But I phased out of there before it could do too much damage.

The whole thing was so not fair. What kind of monster just shrugs off ectoplasm AND ice?

To make a very long story short? I was stuck in that mirror world. Something big, green and scaly decided I'd make a great chew toy.

[See? All the truth, without ever mentioning that he'd been fighting it as a ghost at the time. Danny was learning to work around what the castle had done to him.]

[Tim gets the whole secrets thing. For long as he can keep it up, he's planning on responding to most open entries as Alvin and the persona that goes with the identity.]

[Danny, unfortunately, had completely lost his ability to tell any lies. That really made the whole secret identity thing tough to keep up. But he'd mostly managed to keep it a secret still.]

Yeah, Probably. It kind of sucked as far as a vacation from the castle goes.
