❀ Episode 03 ❀ [Dictated / Action]

[Rise wakes up in what feels like familiar surroundings, but doesn't look quite right. It's like she's on a huge fluffy cushion or something. This isn't still that Wonderland place, is it?! She doesn't feel like that... fairy groundskeeper or whatever she was supposed to be there anymore.

She rolls over to get up, but feels something weird, but oddly familiar. She's quickly distracted from that when she looks down from the cushion, though. It looks like the pattern on her bed's sheets, but much bigger!

... Uh-oh. Her wings give a little flutter as she starts to consider what that means.

Wait, wings?! Oh, crap!]

Okay, very funny! You can turn me back now!

[Her voice carries over the open journal, and goes almost-silent again for a moment while she uses all the practice she got with those wings in Wonderland to fly around and explore the room. It's definitely hers, and it's huge! She can't be bigger than her cell phone back home now! Actually, it's probably bigger than her.]

... And the door is closed?! Seriously?!

[Okay, she might be starting to panic a little bit here, but she tries to stay calm. She's been in worse situations before back home, all she has to do here is contact someone who can help.]

Hello? Can anyone hear me? This is Rise.

I'm kinda... stuck in my room right now. It's not urgent or anything, but could someone please come soon?

[People met in Wonderland]

Was I the only one acting weird in that mirror place?! And is everyone else back to normal?

[That other fairy girl]

Nora-san, was it?

Did you change back to normal today? ... Or were you always a fairy? I'm sorry, I'm still getting used to this magic castle thing.

[A slightly awkward pause.]

Anyway, can we talk?

You're acting a little differently now.

Oh! Are you that boy? Conan-kun?

[She thinks back over the things she did back in Wonderland, and gives a bit of a nervous laugh to cover her embarrassment.]

I must have said some really strange things, huh?

[Then she realizes he doesn't seem different at all.]

Wait, so you were yourself when we were in that place?

Mmm, I remembered who I was the entire time. I wasn't sure if you were from the castle, but it seems like there were a lot of people who were changed like that.

Wow.

[She laughs again, a bit less nervously this time.]

I promise I'm different out here, okay?

[Though he can't see it, she looks at herself and how huge everything around her is.]

Well, I'm acting normal again, at least. Back to the usual Rise-neechan!

[The wink is almost audible. And she's obviously overcompensating for her slight panic at still being a fairy by acting confident and collected. No need to worry Conan about it, after all.]

Eh, really? Well its nice to meet you properly then, Rise-neechan.

[therealrisette]

You too, Conan-kun!

[She always did like cute kids, at least when they aren't brats. He kind of reminds her of Nanako and Naoto a bit, too.

But it doesn't take long for her to let a small crack in her attempted mature-big-sis armor show.]

Kinda wish I was back to normal size, though.

Oh? Are you still the same size as in that place?

[therealrisette]

[Rise actually didn't realize she had let that slip until Conan responded. Oh well, he was probably going to find out sometime. She lets out a long sigh as she answers.]

Yeeeahh... wings and all.

[Don't panic, Rise. Everyone says these "losses" are only temporary.]

At least fairies are cute, right?

[That's right, concentrate on the "it could be worse" aspect.]

If its because of the castle it won't last long! [Even if the thought of someone being transformed into a fairy made him twitch at the illogic.]

[Wow, he's acting like this is pretty normal. Curiosity begs the question she almost always seems to ask people around here.]

How long have you been here, Conan-kun?

Nearly a year and a half.

[therealrisette]

[Wow... now that she thinks about it, it's terrible for such a young boy to be taken away from his parents to live in a castle like this for so long!]

Aww, you must get really homesick sometimes!

[Wait, hadn't she said that already? Back when she was a fair- well, back when she thought she lived in that Wonderland place?

She laughs, trying to cover up for herself quickly.]

I'm sorry, I already said that once, didn't I?

[Her voice becomes encouraging.]

You must at least have some friends here after all that time!

Mm, you did say that before. [He doesn't answer the question of whether he is homesick for his real home.]

But I do have some friends here. [Though naturally none of them knew anything about what he really was. Some of them knew parts of it, but he was always hiding secrets.]

And now you have a cute big sister too!

[She means that as a figure of speech, of course. But she does plan to look after him at least a bit while she's here.

Even if she is smaller than a cell phone right now.]

[Oi, he could see where this was going. Unfortunately he couldn't think of a non-suspicious way out of it.]

That's really nice of you, Rise-neechan!

[therealrisette]

[Rise giggles at that. She'd kind of been half-joking referring to herself as "Rise-neechan", and would have been perfectly fine with him calling her Rise-chan like everyone else. But it's just so cute! She might have to insist on it if he ever stops.]

Just let me know if you ever need anything, okay? And if you're lonely you can visit anytime!

[Conan knew it was cute. That was why he did it. Really, he is the most manipulative fake kid.]
