❀ Episode 03 ❀ [Dictated / Action]

[Rise wakes up in what feels like familiar surroundings, but doesn't look quite right. It's like she's on a huge fluffy cushion or something. This isn't still that Wonderland place, is it?! She doesn't feel like that... fairy groundskeeper or whatever she was supposed to be there anymore.

She rolls over to get up, but feels something weird, but oddly familiar. She's quickly distracted from that when she looks down from the cushion, though. It looks like the pattern on her bed's sheets, but much bigger!

... Uh-oh. Her wings give a little flutter as she starts to consider what that means.

Wait, wings?! Oh, crap!]

Okay, very funny! You can turn me back now!

[Her voice carries over the open journal, and goes almost-silent again for a moment while she uses all the practice she got with those wings in Wonderland to fly around and explore the room. It's definitely hers, and it's huge! She can't be bigger than her cell phone back home now! Actually, it's probably bigger than her.]

... And the door is closed?! Seriously?!

[Okay, she might be starting to panic a little bit here, but she tries to stay calm. She's been in worse situations before back home, all she has to do here is contact someone who can help.]

Hello? Can anyone hear me? This is Rise.

I'm kinda... stuck in my room right now. It's not urgent or anything, but could someone please come soon?

[People met in Wonderland]

Was I the only one acting weird in that mirror place?! And is everyone else back to normal?

[That other fairy girl]

Nora-san, was it?

Did you change back to normal today? ... Or were you always a fairy? I'm sorry, I'm still getting used to this magic castle thing.

[A slightly awkward pause.]

Anyway, can we talk?

[It's probably safe to assume that he can't see that friend filter, so he'll just be glowering at the journal while he's laying in his own bed.]

Don't tell me you're going to be spouting that Wonderland nonsense still.

Sh-shut up!

[Yeah, she's still a little sensitive about how the castle was making her act. Thankfully, he can't see how fiercely she's blushing. Or, for that matter, glowing. Can't fairies turn that off when they fly?!]

[It takes her a while to calm down, still being on edge from waking up like she did. But she hasn't forgotten him stepping in when she - that is, the actual fairy Rise - was being chased by that giant monster thing.

So she adds one more filter.]

Um... thanks, by the way.

[Rise]

[It's probably a good thing he can't see her anyway because he'd probably want to smack her for various reasons. Not that he would, mind you. He'll reach over and grab the journal to glance at it - oh there's filtering here too - then lightly toss it back to the desk.]

[Filtered forever blah blah you get the drill]

You know.

[He's gonna make her say it, isn't he?]

When we were in that place, and that... thing was chasing me.

[That's right, Pixy, she noticed.

In hindsight, she's not sure if they were ever in any real danger there. But in the moment, she was panicked as hell. In fact, that's probably the reason she's not panicking quite as much about still being a fairy.]

[And just what if I DON'T know the drill, huh? Bc]

[Oh, that. He was almost surprised she noticed, but he wasn't paying attention to whether he was still in earshot of her when he went out there and likely got a few tail swipes for his endeavors.]

Forget about it. Just try not to do anything that could get you eaten again.

[He's sounding rather exhausted. His injuries so weren't thanking him for this.]

You're acting a little differently now.

Oh! Are you that boy? Conan-kun?

[She thinks back over the things she did back in Wonderland, and gives a bit of a nervous laugh to cover her embarrassment.]

I must have said some really strange things, huh?

[Then she realizes he doesn't seem different at all.]

Wait, so you were yourself when we were in that place?

[deductiongeek]

Mmm, I remembered who I was the entire time. I wasn't sure if you were from the castle, but it seems like there were a lot of people who were changed like that.

Wow.

[She laughs again, a bit less nervously this time.]

I promise I'm different out here, okay?

[Though he can't see it, she looks at herself and how huge everything around her is.]

Well, I'm acting normal again, at least. Back to the usual Rise-neechan!

[The wink is almost audible. And she's obviously overcompensating for her slight panic at still being a fairy by acting confident and collected. No need to worry Conan about it, after all.]

Eh, really? Well its nice to meet you properly then, Rise-neechan.

Hey! Yeah, I'm Nora. And your name was... Rise?

[She sighs and runs a hand through her hair] Yes and no. I was kind of already on a loss before we went through the mirror. I guess the castle decided to keep me as a fairy when I went through. I've been like this for almost 3 weeks now...

But yeah, we can talk.

Fairy filter forever!

[therealrisette]

[She lets out a quiet chuckle at the mention of her name.]

Well, we got to keep our names at least!

[Then a brief stunned silence at Nora's explanation of her loss.]

You've been this small for three weeks?! How do you get around this place?

[She pauses as she contemplates her wings, which she still seems to know how to use.]

Well, I mean besides the obvious. I can't even turn a doorknob!

[eat_me_beat_me]

Yeah I guess that's some small comfort.

I've gotten used to flying everywhere. I really hope this doesn't last much longer, though. It's really exhausting.

Doorknobs? Oh yeah there's a trick to it. It took me a while to figure it out, though. I can come to you. What room are you in?

[therealrisette]

[Getting around the castle at this size must be tiring.]

Yeah, just my room is pretty big now! But I guess all that flying practice in Wonderland helped.

[She smiles, managing to sound pretty cheerful. Some of her time in Wonderland, especially with Nora, had been fun, even if they weren't quite themselves.

The mention of a "trick" to doorknobs catches her attention too.]

I'm in room 725!

You're not too far, are you?

[eat_me_beat_me]

That's how I felt, too. [She snorts] My boyfriend nearly crushed me rolling over the morning I woke up like this.

I'm on the fourth floor but It won't take me too long to get there, especially if I take the elevator. [she pauses] I got locked out of my room a couple times and kinda had to figure out how to do everything myself.

Don't worry, I'll be there in a bit.

[And off she goes! She pushes the elevator buttons with minimal difficulty and goes up to the 7th floor. It takes her a little longer than usual to find the door... It takes longer to read the numbers when you have to pause in your flying... but she gets there. When she gets to the door she grins]

Hey, castle! Change the door handle to one of those lever handles. [The doorknob changes and she lightly lands on it, depressing it to the point where the door clicks and swings open. She flies in, looking around.]

Rise?

Stuck? I can get you out in an instant. Give me three seconds to locate you.

[Kara]

[therealrisette]

[Rise hears a familiar voice and can literally feel the tension melting away. The filter worked...]

Thank you!

[Sounds like Kara has some sort of abilities similar to hers if she says she can "locate" her. But just in case, she gives her room number over the journal.]

I'm in room 725!

[That certainly does save Kara from taking the time to both listen around and scan the castle. In no time, Kara is opening the bedroom door, dressed in her Supergirl uniform.]

Rise?

[Woo action time!]

[therealrisette]

[Oh, right. She didn't know, did she?]

Over here!

[She flies up about an inch or so over where she had been sitting on her nightstand. The glow should catch her attention, if nothing else.

Belatedly, she realizes they actually haven't met face-to-face yet. The blonde is absolutely huge, and she can't tell if that's a trick of her new perspective or not!]

I'm not usually this small!

[She crosses her arms, pouting. Still hovering in midair, even. That week in Wonderland certainly gave her good practice with those wings.]

It's this stupid castle...

[Kara notices her pretty fast, so she comes close and squats down so she can be eye-level with Rise. She lowers her voice so she doesn't boom into Rise's tiny eardrums :'|]

Haha, I was going to say... I didn't imagine going to the beach with a pixie.

[Rise sighs. She's been doing that a lot lately.]

You weren't in Wonderland, were you? I kinda... got turned into a fairy there.

[She's not going to mention how she was acting for a week. The less people know about that, the better.]

alternating chorus of "hi rise" and "what's that in inches"

and myself although that was months ago
anyway i take it the effect hasnt worn off yet

*sulking and refusing to answer* (it's3and3/4...)

[She knows a few people who were themselves in that place. Lucky.]

Of course it didn't wear off!

[Why else would she be screaming at the castle to change her back?!

After a moment, she realizes she just snapped at Aradia, and her tone softens.]

... Sorry. I'm still a bit on edge.

[Being too small to leave your own room will do that.]
