❀ Episode 03 ❀ [Dictated / Action]

[Rise wakes up in what feels like familiar surroundings, but doesn't look quite right. It's like she's on a huge fluffy cushion or something. This isn't still that Wonderland place, is it?! She doesn't feel like that... fairy groundskeeper or whatever she was supposed to be there anymore.

She rolls over to get up, but feels something weird, but oddly familiar. She's quickly distracted from that when she looks down from the cushion, though. It looks like the pattern on her bed's sheets, but much bigger!

... Uh-oh. Her wings give a little flutter as she starts to consider what that means.

Wait, wings?! Oh, crap!]

Okay, very funny! You can turn me back now!

[Her voice carries over the open journal, and goes almost-silent again for a moment while she uses all the practice she got with those wings in Wonderland to fly around and explore the room. It's definitely hers, and it's huge! She can't be bigger than her cell phone back home now! Actually, it's probably bigger than her.]

... And the door is closed?! Seriously?!

[Okay, she might be starting to panic a little bit here, but she tries to stay calm. She's been in worse situations before back home, all she has to do here is contact someone who can help.]

Hello? Can anyone hear me? This is Rise.

I'm kinda... stuck in my room right now. It's not urgent or anything, but could someone please come soon?

Was I the only one acting weird in that mirror place?! And is everyone else back to normal?

Nora-san, was it?

Did you change back to normal today? ... Or were you always a fairy? I'm sorry, I'm still getting used to this magic castle thing.

[A slightly awkward pause.]

[And as is her custom/bad habit, she uses her time powers to speed up the trip for herself and arrives within like ten seconds, knocking on the door.]

[Rise calls out in response.]

Yeah, I'm here!

[Just open the door already!

She flies a bit closer to the door, cautiously. Last thing she needs is to get smacked by a giant door right now. But since the room is so big, and she's not, she'd better be someplace visible.]

((ooc: lmao im just teasing, that would require time travel to work properly in paradisa anyway. XD))

[Obligingly, Aradia tries the door and, finding it unlocked, lets herself in. It takes her a second to find Rise's position, more by her motion at first, but when she does she grins. It may be fortunate she is the only troll who has flat teeth instead of sharp ones.]

[Okay, Rise definitely wasn't prepared to meet a troll!]

Eep!

[She maay have panicked just a little and flown backwards a bit. But eventually, it does catch up to her that the weird horned girl's voice is familiar.]

A-Aradia-san?!

[She said she wasn't on a loss or anything, so this is how she normally looks?! She's far too stunned to find any more words just yet...]

[It's momentarily slipped Aradia's mind that A) this is their first meeting in person, and 2) not everyone is as used to weird-looking aliens as she is.]

Haha, did I startle you? Sorry. [She holds out a grey-skinned hand toward Rise, palm up, as a place she can land.]

[Okay, brain catching up. Weird gray-skinned girl. Not the strangest or even remotely most threatening thing you've seen in the past few weeks, Rise.

She inches forward a little bit, looking a bit sheepish.]

I-it's okay. Sorry, I just didn't know what to expect!

[Slowly landing in Aradia's offered palm, she smiles, trying to defuse any tension remaining.]

And you're huge! Well, right now, I mean. It's a lot to take in at once!

[She gives a nervous giggle, trying not to think about how surreal it is standing on someone's hand...]

[haha wow she is a cute little thing. and her footsteps kind of tickle!]

- Oh! I never told you I was a troll, did I? Whoops, that explains a lot, actually. Don't worry, I'll be very careful with you. [She knows that feel, after all, at least the being surrounded by giants thing.]

[Rise's heard the word "troll" before, but not applied to something like Aradia. Must be normal where she comes from.]

Thanks... and sorry again for freaking out. I guess I'm not as used to being this small as I thought.

I said don't worry about it. Actually - I wasn't sure before, but I think some of the clothes I made when I was that size might fit you. So you wouldn't have to wear the same thing the whole time, you know. [Sure their builds are a little different ~~i.e. Aradia is physically 13 and has no rumble spheres to speak of~~, but it's worth a try, right?]

You made your own clothes?

[That's pretty cool! Even if her style (and figure) is a bit different from Rise's. She could do small modifications if she had to. Aradia probably wouldn't need them back, anyway.]

Thanks. I could always use some new outfits!

[She smiles and winks. It's a bit easier to stay positive now that all the panicking is over.]

Haha, well, more like I made smaller copies of clothes I already had. I can't sew like Kanaya or Garry.

Anyway, they are all at the outpost. You can ride on my head if you want.

[She raises the hand containing Rise gently up to her head; her hood is down and there's plenty of fluffy hair to hold onto, plus the horns.]

[Rise actually tilts her head slightly in confusion. As if being as tiny as she is wasn't already adorable enough.]

"Outpost?" And how do you make clothes without sewing?

[This girl's saying a lot of confusing things. But Rise likes her so far - she's sweet.

She stumbles a little bit as Aradia raises her hand up, but stabilizes herself with her wings before hop-flying off onto Aradia's head as suggested.]

[Now sitting rather comfortably in the other girl's hair, she also grabs on to one of her horns for good measure.]

Ready!

[She figured she should probably announce it since Aradia can't see her on top of her own head and all.

Being a fairy is strange...]

[Haha, if you think that's confusing just wait till she tries to explain her home universe or personal history. She holds up a thumbs-up where Rise can see it, then flutters into the air and starts back toward the elevator at a leisurely flying pace.]

The outpost is a thing I rebuilt outside the castle, near the border of the Dead Zone - the line where powers stop working. There used to be more, but the old ones got blown up a little over a year ago, so I made a new one. I'm the only one who lives there right now, though. Well, me and Ruu. He's a monkey.

[About then they come to the elevator, and she touches down to push the button and wait for it.]

And making clothes... I used the alchemiter for that. It's a machine from my home universe that lets you duplicate or combine things from your sylladex. One of my friends built it when he was here.

[Ding! Elevator get. Now boarding :) ]

[Wow, this is the first she's heard about a "Dead Zone". So her Persona wouldn't work out there? ... Not that she has access to it right now, anyway, but it's something to keep in mind.]

So you don't live in the castle?

[Sounds really lonely...

And Rise only just barely follows the explanation of the "alchemiter". She got the basic idea, at least. She's still confused over one point, though.]

... "Sylladex"?

[Lalala elevator go down...]

Nope. I still hang out here a lot, of course, since it's where most of my friends are, but I've moved everything permanent over there.

Oh - a sylladex is kind of an inventory system. It is both highly versatile and needlessly complicated. [To demonstrate, she pulls a captcha card out of nowhere and holds it up to show her. On the front is a pair of sneakers, and on the back, a code that's super hard to read.]

[Well, that explains things! And Rise feels a little better knowing that Aradia at least gets to spend a lot of time around her friends in the castle.

She's clearly impressed by the captcha card, too.]

Oh, wow! That's pretty neat!

I bet that makes packing for vacations and stuff easier, huh?

It does, definitely! But it doesn't work in the Dead Zone for some reason. It doesn't eject my inventory or anything, but I can't access it. Which is too bad, it would come in really handy out there.

[Ding! The elevator lets out into the lobby, and Aradia flutters over to the base of Terrere Tower, where the room with her nameplate is. But when she opens the door, there's nothing inside the room except a transportalizer pad.]

The Dead Zone?

[This is the first Rise's ever even heard about the Dead Zone. She's never even thought about leaving the castle before today...

She also starts to wonder what's going on when they reach Aradia's room in the castle. Didn't she say she lived at some outpost just a few minutes ago?]

I thought we were leaving the castle?

[But then the room is empty... what? Aradia, you have a very confused fairy passenger right now!]

[Aradia tilts her head up a little, as if that would magically make her able to see her confuzzled passenger.]

We are! Hold on tight.

[And with that, she steps on the pad. (Please keep your hands and arms inside the hair pile!) There'll be a slight feeling of spacial displacement, and then the surroundings change completely, leaving them standing in a smaller, unpainted concrete room.]

Aaand now we have!

{ooc: Lol, derp. Rise apparently heard about the Dead Zone a little earlier in this thread. Oh well! Still plenty of reason for confusion! *soldiers on!*}

[Fortunately, Rise is pretty firmly anchored in place, and Aradia was gentle with her head-tilting.

She's still a bit confused at all of this, but she holds on tight and - wow, that's a weird feeling, but apparently they're in a different place now!]

Are we there already?

[This is actually one of the less surprising things she's been through today. She'd expect this kind of thing at Paradisa. Even if she didn't expect it to be in Aradia's room of all places.]

Yep! Welcome to the West Outpost. I should probably come up with a cooler name for it sometime.

[Opens the door, which leads into a much larger room - two stories high, with several of the twelve-paned windows characteristic of troll architecture, letting in the sunlight. The room is pretty sparsely furnished, with only an old-looking sofa, table, and TV set. A small pink monkey is curled up on the sofa, but wakes up to chitter curiously at their arrival.]

[Rise chuckles at a couple of name ideas that pop up in her head.]

How about Megido Manor? Or Chez Aradia?

[As they go further in, though, the monkey is the first thing to really catch Rise's attention. Not just because it's pink, even though that's kind of weird.

But when you're less than ten centimeters tall, a lot of animals suddenly become imposing. Aradia might feel a tug on her hair as Rise unconsciously covers herself, just barely peeking out over it.]

You have a monkey?!

[Despite her actions, her voice isn't panicked. Just... kind of shocked. Where did she get a monkey in Paradisa? And why is it pink?!]

[She laughs.] "Megido Manor"? Haha, that's got a ring to it.

[As for Ruu, he climbs up on the back of the couch to investigate. Aradia opts not to offer her shoulder to him as she sometimes does.]

I told you he lived here. [~~although that tag was like a month ago so whatever~~] Rise, meet Ruu. Ruu, Rise. It's all right, he's friendly.

[Oh, right, she did, didn't she? Still, Rise wasn't prepared for him to be that big! ... Comparatively speaking.]

Uh, hi Ruu.

[Her voice squeaks out a bit, but she tentatively flies over towards him and waves. Keeping a safe distance just in case, of course.]
