so i know the first rule of fight club is not to talk about fight club
but after the shenanigans from a week ago and the devastating loss of drink pushing bears
i gotta say
i am really god damn bored
i am watching my fingernails grow here people

[ooc: Long story short, Dave is bored and pretty restless. He's looking for someone to practise fighting with but he also wants to scope out the fighting crowd here. If you want to jump right into action that is OK!]

[Ppppt. Aradia touches down on the roof and equips her basic adventuring whip.]

[He raises an eyebrow as she takes out the whip, kind of curious about what this fight will be like.]

On count of three then, timesis. [He hops back, taking a defensive stance.] Three, two aaaand one. [He flash steps toward her, sword held defensively.]

[Aradia drops into a stance herself, the way Ezio taught her. She may not know the Strider secret of flashstepping, but she uses her free hand to cast a quick speed buff on herself, and flips the whip to its full length with the other. Once he's close enough, she'll snap it quickly toward his side with a loud CRACK.]

[He knew that this would be a challenge, but DAMN Aradia you are in good form. For the first time in a long time this fight is looking like it'll be exciting. He needs to be quick, but he can't flashstep out of that. He parries the whip with his blade, holding it tight so it isn't whipped out of his hand and keeps trying to get into closer range.]

[The main problem with the Whipkind specibus is, it kind of leaves you exposed if your opponent gets too close. Clearly, she mustn't let that happen! Recovering smoothly, she snaps the whip in a criss-cross pattern in front of her, intending to break his momentum so she can step back and out of his range.]

[Luckily for Dave, his speed is a great ally when it comes to strifing against a whip. He flashsteps backward out of the line of fire, allowing her to back away. Actually, he's going to jog a few more steps backward so he can attempt to leap at her, trying to get in that damn range.]
