[ This post takes place approximately twenty minutes after the old standard of 'wake up, freak out, and find yourself within an obscenely huge castle with a magical Pagemaster-looking book'. Yukiko has calmed herself enough to leave her room, sitting on a small couch in the hallway outside of her room. She smooths down the pages a few times, sending a crinkling noise across the page-waves, and clears her throat nervously.
This book's been writing itself ever since she started looking at it. Maybe it's time to reach out herself. ]
Um...hello? This is Yukiko Amagi.
[ Her breath catches in a soft gasp. Yup! That certainly did write itself. She clears her throat again, her feet fidgeting in front of one another. ]
I'm sorry if this sounds silly, but everyone else seems so settled in...I'm not really sure what's happened here. This isn't-- well, I wasn't really expecting to be here. [ A pause. She tries not to look too consternated. ] I'm not sure where here is.
If anyone could tell me that, I'd- mm. It'd be very appreciated. Thank you.
[ Now she'll just stare at the book, trying to avoid the second round of freaking out. As far as she knows, the TV had just short-circuited and dumped her out into this new world after Void Quest. Maybe this was another part of the TV World...? Maybe this book wasn't communicating at all, but just. Writing itself, somehow.
Stranger things had happened. ]

The next big thing you need to know is that you are missing something. It's called a "loss" and it could be anything... a memory, an item, an ability... something.

[ She files it all away, then sets to patting herself down. It's all there...headband, fan, Konohana Sakuya humming away in her mind. Searching her memories, nothing seemed amiss- but that'd be how it was, wouldn't it? ]
Why would it do that?

For example, don't touch anything unusual, especially in the lobby.
There was a mirror there recently that trapped people in a messed up "wonderland". And for Christmas there were these nutcrackers that made people make out.
If you want when you get settled I can get you some more detailed information.

Oh, I wouldn't want to impose on you too much. You've already been so much help.

... I'm Church.

It's very nice to meet you, Church. Thank you for all the help!

[He's not used to people saying "nice to meet you", usually it's more like "you're an asshole".]
... you're welcome.

I don't suppose there's anything else you feel would be important to know?

There's a lot to figure out in this place. I guess I can leave you with a couple more useful tidbits.
If you haven't already found it, there is a room somewhere in the castle with your name on it.
You can wish for simple things like food but be careful... some things come with a price. So try not to rely on it too much.
Don't travel too far from the Castle or you'll end up in the "Dead Zone" where any technology or powers you may have will stop working.
You can also send private messages by filtering them to specific people... but you need to be as specific as possible like "Church". Or if you want, you can use it to address a group of people like "Friends" or "People who are blue".
I'm sure you'll figure out the rest or if you think of something specific you can ask around.

I see. I think I've got it. [ She makes another little noise, confused. ] How far away is this Dead Zone? What's beyond it?
away from First Gen and allies
[He scrawls a page number ]
away from First Gen and allies
Wow...this really is a whole new world.

Um...this part, too. This is the sixth year that people have been kidnapped here, and nobody has made headway into an actual exit so far?
no subject
Sixth year that we know about.

It's either alive or it has an AI or something... I don't know all the details.

The "magic kidnapping castle" is just the start of it.
