[ Late in the evening, this post is dictated from a cozy spot in the corner of the dining hall. With her legs curled under her and her journal balanced on her lap, she sips her tea quietly for a few minutes, just thinking.

The wash of words from dozens of different people is oddly comforting- like the inn, in a lot of ways, but with less drunk businessman shouting for 'more sake from Yuki-chan'. After a brief pause to clear her throat and set her tea aside, she starts to speak. ]

You know...I kind of miss school. It's been nice for these past few weeks, not having any real responsibility - I caught up on a lot of reading, thanks to the castle! - but between no job, and no study...

I feel like I should be doing more with my time. Does anyone else feel like that?

[ This post takes place approximately twenty minutes after the old standard of 'wake up, freak out, and find yourself within an obscenely huge castle with a magical Pagemaster-looking book'. Yukiko has calmed herself enough to leave her room, sitting on a small couch in the hallway outside of her room. She smooths down the pages a few times, sending a crinkling noise across the page-waves, and clears her throat nervously.

This book's been writing itself ever since she started looking at it. Maybe it's time to reach out herself. ]

Um...hello? This is Yukiko Amagi.

[ Her breath catches in a soft gasp. Yup! That certainly did write itself. She clears her throat again, her feet fidgeting in front of one another. ]

I'm sorry if this sounds silly, but everyone else seems so settled in...I'm not really sure what's happened here. This isn't-- well, I wasn't really expecting to be here. [ A pause. She tries not to look too consternated. ] I'm not sure where here is.

If anyone could tell me that, I'd- mm. It'd be very appreciated. Thank you.

[ Now she'll just stare at the book, trying to avoid the second round of freaking out. As far as she knows, the TV had just short-circuited and dumped her out into this new world after Void Quest. Maybe this was another part of the TV World...? Maybe this book wasn't communicating at all, but just. Writing itself, somehow.

Stranger things had happened. ]

--was amazing!

[ FLOWER ICONS, FLOWER ICONS EVERYWHERE!

Scene: kickass little restaurant in town.
Cast: the Inaba crew-- except for Adachi, that guy's a jerk.

Topic: winter wrap-up!

After the cleanup died down, there seemed no better reason to all get together and break in their new Secret Headquarters than by collaborating and sharing stories about their day! It's been a couple of days since then, but for her part at least, Yukiko seems thrilled.

Gradually, her giggling dies down. ]

So, anyway...what did everyone else have to do?

(ooc: very open! everything is being recorded by an open journal, and the restaurant is supremely crashable as well if you happen to be in town. GROUP POST, so the whole p4 cast will be answering this one.)

[ written, sometime in the late evening. any of her friends from home might recognise her handwriting from all those times borrowing her notes - she's looking at you, yosuke-kun - but otherwise it'll just look like some very nice, elegant script.

in the real world, yukiko is on a bench along the path of the castle, journal in her lap while she watches the sun set. there's a lot to consider- the place has a bodacious library and a couple of people who she cares about deeply. but on the other hand: a prison is a prison.

just like the cage her shadow was in. just like the cage her bird escaped from.

one tiny sigh can be heard before she puts pen to paper. there's one question on her mind, and one question only, now that many lucid weeks here have confirmed it as very much not a dream. ]

Is it really safe to make a home for yourself here?

[ rustle rustle. it's been a week now, and this dear young lady has well and truly settled into castle life. having ghosts do stuff for you is sort of weird, but convenient- she knew that if she never had to carry another back-breakingly huge set of dishes or scrub another floor, it'd be too soon.

but still, it nagged at her, the differences. missing her mother and father, the inn people, all her friends who weren't punks and/or he of the cracked nads...there's a vibe that doesn't jive. that's why she's sitting somewhat stiffer than normally in the kitchen, looking faintly embarrassed at talking into a book. ]

Um, I don't want to cause any trouble, but...I've sort of been wondering about this since I arrived.

[ beat. what wondrous question could it be? some insight into her previous stay? new information about the first gen? a new and exciting way to burn waffles?! ]

Shouldn't we be going to school?

[ Oh look! It's another lovely day in Yosuke's room. The birds are shining, the trees are singing, and the lazy bastard is just laying on his bed doing whatever teenage boys do. Listening to music and counting the ceiling tiles, in this case! His life is the most exciting one.

But then.

But then.

Where there was air a moment ago suddenly becomes of his good buddies! With an audible whoosh - similar, in fact, to the one where they exit the TV - Yukiko appears and is immediately gripped by one, inescapable fact.

Gravity.

Prepare your nads, Yosuke! She's falling hard and landing right on top. ]

Wha-- ahhhhh!

[ SLAM!!

Welcome to Paradisa. And as always, the journal captures it all. ]
