Sixty First Sip
[James]
[Of all the people to ask, James is always the first who leaps to Maladict's mind in cases of things that could be...of a sensitive nature.
Mostly because he could get ahead of her and stop her from making a mess of things. And he had fairly tough skin so he was harder to upset than the others]
So. Ashley. Let's talk about her. As in, who is she and why haven't I heard about her in the two and a half years I've known you people.
It's fun to share, James.[/James]
So, who wants to join me abstaining from whatever the castle plans to throw at us with this silly little Earth holiday that's coming up? I'm actually considering finding a dank cave somewhere, because I don't think I can handle this place being sickeningly pink again.

But it's with a sigh that he starts this.]
She's Helen's daughter, deceased daughter for both Helen and Nikola in their times. [Not in his own though, and that's well, sort of important.] It's a bit of a prickly topic as you can imagine.
James
Wow, I'm so glad I knew that Helen had a dead daughter head of time before I met her so there was no chance of me saying anything insensitive.
Oh. Wait.
[He lets out a sigh]
Just when I thought you people couldn't get more complicated. [Why did she let you all adopt her again?]
Maladict
She's hard to upset and is prone to saying insensitive things herself.
[So don't worry about.]
It's even more complicated than that if what I've grasped of the situation is correct. Has Nikola told you about John Druitt?
Re: Maladict
[There's a measured pause here as she goes over conversations in her mind she's had with Tesla]
...No. I don't think that name's ever come up.

I'll contact you if I made a decision. What do you plan to do in the caves anyway?

We don't really need a lot to survive. It'd be fairly easy for us to exist out there for a while.

Well, bugger, that's not fair. There should be a rule. If you're not from Earth, you shouldn't be made to suffer Earth holidays.

I'm guessing there's no chance I can say "no" to the matter of you dragging me there to stay in said dark cave with you?
