[Dictated;backdated to last Wednesday, the day after the mess in the theater happened]
In this world there is no such thing as a perfect crime. There will always be something left behind, because there is no such thing as a perfect criminal. Or a perfect human, for that matter. Do you understand what I am saying, Mr. Napoleon of Crime?
Are you okay now?
[And with his private messages sent, Conan moves to address the other issue. Damage control with the uncomfortably large number of people who may have seen him displaying scarily unchiildlike skills and behavior. He could hope that the fact that he had disarmed the bomb had been overlooked in all the excitement, but he couldn't rely on it.]
The last few days have been really scary, right? It seems like there's a really mean person in the castle.

Conan (Written)
It brings up far more powerful imagery then a small man in a hat.
Moriarty (Written)
Conan (Written)
[He stops and switches to voice.]
Sorry...force of habit.
Why bother hiding at this point?
Moriarty
Straight to the point, then.
Conan
Drugs are bad? Rock music is a bad influence?, Kidnapping and dressing queens up with bombs isn't funny?
Come on then...give me the after school special.
Moriarty
And I doubt I am the only person in this castle who objects to them.
Conan
Tut tut...nobody likes a tell tale.
Moriarty
Conan
Oh but I'm sorry...I'm really sorry.
See there's just one thing I've forgotten to tell you.
Moriarty
Conan
It turns me into such a chatty Cathy...I'm liable to say anything if I'm feeling stressed.
Moriarty
And just what do you think you have to say? [Conan stays cool and calculating even as he begins worrying over just what this guy knew. Not everything. He was sure of that. But parts of it could be just as damaging.]
Conan
[There’s a change in tone to his voice now. The smarminess is gone, only to be replaced with a harsh edge to his words...words born out of anger and madness.]
How’s this then? If I get even a hint of retribution towards me, if you interfere in any of my business during my stay in Paradisa...I'll expose you.
Nothing helps a private detective more then anonymity does it? And you gave me all the conformation I needed that you're not the innocent boy next door that you like people to think that you are.
Moriarty
The detective deliberately relaxes himself and allows a air of boredom to creep into his voice. Now for the bluff.]
Not at all. But blackmail is rather overused, isn't it? You think you're the first to try it? If you insisted on trying something, I had hoped for something more creative.
That much is known well enough. I've never hidden the fact that I'm a detective.
Conan
Then again...maybe I'm waiting for a fall. That's what it comes down to in the end.
Just ask dear Sherlock.
Moriarty
Regardless, what will you if I decide to present the evidence I've gathered? There are those here who would listen. [Sherlock, for one, might be very interested.]
Conan
Maybe I'll panic and throw myself upon the mercy of the good honest citizens of Paradisa? Or maybe my arrest will set off another game that'll result in the destruction of you and anybody even remotely connected to you. Maybe you're still caught in the web and you don't even know it.
Only one way to find out isn't there detective...make your choice.
Moriarty
Maybes aren't of much use. Not until they can be tested.
Conan
Words words words blah blah.
Unless you have anything action to back up those words...we're done here. I've had my entertainment and now it's time for you to run away and play.
Go on...shoo!
Moriarty (sorry about the delay! I had a tough time figuring out a response)
I'm hardly about to tell you what I intend to do. Just bear in mind that if certain things are revealed about me, other things will be revealed as well. I doubt you wish to have your activities brought under scrutiny.
[But Conan would be watching him closely. His secrets were not worth someone's death. If the situation became too dangerous he fully intended to act.]
Conan (No probs :-) )
[ He knows they're not done...not really. One of them will get bored or the castle will throw them into a scenario together. However for now...time for the spider to slink into the shadows.]
Rest assured though Conan. If you are to ever get bored again and want to play the hero...my door is always open.
Conan
[So monotone. Yes, of course she's heard about the incident. What do you take her for.]
Getting involved in a little excitement, Conan?
Dairine
Conan
Dairine
Conan
[See, she can deduce things too.]
Dairine
[There, he answered. Now will you go away?]
Conan
[Nope. Now that she knows someone dragged him into it, she's not letting go so easily.]
Who would pull you into a case here?
Dairine
Conan >> Action
Within minutes of the journal closing, there is a knock at Conan's door. A very, very insistant knock.]
Action
Action
[More knocking. When he doesn't answer, Dairine tries the door handle.]
Re: Action
Action
Cooonan! If you don't open the door, I'll open it myself!
Re: Action
This is my business. It doesn't concern you.
[And then he closes the door again.]
Action
Stepping in, she closes the door behind her.]
If someone is dragging you into danger, you better believe it concerns me.
Re: Action
And its all over with anyway, so your insistence is pointless.
[It wasn't. But it had settled into a stalemate of mutual blackmailing.]
Action
Don't take me for an idiot. A case isn't over unless the culprit is found. Yet the prison cells remain empty, and the only announcement that has been made is your cryptic comment.
You know something. You just don't want to tell me.
Re: Action
Action
[Dairine uses his real name very deliberately. Then, speaking more sweetly:]
But if you insist, I guess I'll have to figure it out myself. Drop by town and do a little investigating of my own. It's all over, so there shouldn't be any harm, right?
[She flashes him an "innocent" smile.]
Re: Action
Stay out of this, Dairine.
Action
Stay out of what?
