The outpost in the dead zone is still intact, just saying, and I will remind everyone in general that the doors do lock. We could just stick Legato out there for a while and make sure he didn't get back into the castle zone. No powers, no forcing townspeople to kill each other and themselves. Of course the risk to him would be vengeance-seekers and he might attempt suicide, but it's a possibility.

[And of course, if Legato attempts suicide, it might be doing them all a favor.]

Frankly, [If Legato decided to kill himself, I might help,] no one has really suggested something better to do with him. All I've heard is a laundry list of things people DON'T want to have to do. And he can be watched.

He can have a degree of human contact and a little more mobility under supervision without any supervisors having to worry about him making them strangle themselves so yeah, I sure do. Otherwise, what's your suggestion?

I would suggest doing what Zelman suggested. Letting him go, under a constant watch, by people who would not be affected by him or who could knock him out if he did something that would harm others or himself.

Either that or muster whatever it is that you need to, take him out to the Dead Zone, and simply kill him yourself.

It's a lot easier to keep Legato on round-the-clock suicide watch than it is to keep an eye on every single person in town, especially when he still has allies amongst the residents, when he's just reporting in to a minder or something ridiculous like that.

And if he wanted to commit suicide here he could've always bit out his own tongue or swallowed it and done it that way.

I went to the meeting and everyone is just turning in circles over and over again.

And it's a decent solution. Better than Zelman's idea. If no one else will organize it I will.

This way we don't require powered people to keep an eye on him. We keep him on round-the-clock suicide watch, people take shifts out in the dead zone so no one has to devote their whole life to it unless they want, and he has better mobility and more stimulation. It's the easiest way.

We can put him on round-the-clock suicide watch and prevent him if he tries. And if he'd been determined to kill himself, he could've bit his tongue out here or swallowed it and choked to death in the first place.
