[It's a beautiful morning, shaping up to be a hot and humid day, as so many summer days at the Blind Buffalo Resort are. The piles and piles of people arriving in their cars to check in at the modest front office make it a noisy morning too, full of chatter and greetings from those who have long been apart. There isn't enough room in the office for everyone, so there's spillover of the crowd to outside, and a noise crowd jammed inside the room.

[Annoying half-brother, coming through. He jumps on a nearby bed, yawning lazily.]

I hope the refreshments here at 'Camp Kumbaya-Let's-All-Be-A-Happy-Family' satisfy.

[Meaning, he is going to be drinking the whole time. How else will he survive this?]

[Crazy old auntie Song peeks her head into the cabin. Obviously finding it's sparse contents a bit questionable]

I'd assume we're having cookouts over the fire. Marshmallows, hot dogs, the usual.

[demonologist]

[Dutiful brother is sorting through luggage and neatly unpacking his case. Possibly other people's things too. He eyes Geoffrey, hoping he's not going to bounce on his bed as well.]

Is that all you can think about? The refreshments?

[Spying his very eccentric aunt at the door, he stops what he's doing and moves to greet her with one of those reserved sort of two-kiss-half-hugs.]

Auntie River, lovely to see you again.

[Oh lord, does that hair ever get tamed with a brush?]

[Geoff laughs.]

I was thinking of something a little stronger than what you'd have at a cookout, Auntie.

[He flops over to look at Wes.] Oh, and I bet all you can think of is how well you packed your suitcase.

[Well at least Wesley knows how to properly, if reluctantly, greet his whacky old aunt. River graces him with a hug in return and pats the top of his head. As if he were five years old still]

Lovely to see you was well Wesley!

[She's residing in the cabin next door with some of the other female members of the family]

Is that what you want? Booze? You should carry one of these with you.

[Geoff, watch as River pulls a silver flask from her pocket. She's not very good at discouraging bad habits, now is she?]

[He's not five anymore, River, but he bears the undignified pat with good grace. Geoff is given the side-eye before he resumes his task.]

One should strive to be efficient at all things. Even packing.

[A flask?! Get some faint disapproval from the man who probably needs to drink more and loosen his bunched britches.]

Drinking? At this hour?

[ Nonchalantly passing by and reaching over to nab that flask now. ]

I'll be taking that.

[thetrudger]

[That gets a surprised grin out of Geoff.]

Good for you, Auntie. [Was he even allowed to call her that, being a bastard? Didn't know, didn't care.]

Nothing wrong with a little sip here and there to get the day going, Wes.

[He'll be jealous if Klaus manages to snatch that flask.]

[River allows Klaus to take her flask. It's not like she doesn't have a spare. She carries all kinds of strange stuff of her. Never know when one might have need of handcuffs after all.]

Just a nip or two before bed time is what I usually use it for, Wesley.

[Geoff is allowed to call her whatever he wants as far as she's concerned]

[Wes tries not to eyeroll when Klaus' blithely absconds with the flask for his own purposes.]

If you need alcohol to fortify you in the morning, something is definitely wrong, Geoffrey.

[But he nods at his aunt, not wanting to sound as if he's judging her for her indulgences.]

Will you be staying with the Watson's?

[He stows more clothing away and when he passes Klaus, he murmurs to him quietly and with that 'scolding brother' sort of tone.]

I presume you're eventually going to give it back.

[precede]

[ Yay flask. He asks for nobody's permission to take a big swag while reaching to wrap an arm around Geoffrey's shoulder. ]

Night, day, whenever. It's better than being cold sober like Wesley here. [ He gestures at him with the flask before offering it to Geoffrey. ]

Keep presuming, you're good at that.

[demonologist]

I drink. Just when it's appropriate to do so.

[Yes, he knows he's the dull one. But he's resigned to it by now. He doesn't appreciate Klaus' other remark at all, but since they are in the presence of their aunt, he'll just give his errant brother a compressed lip and cautioning glare.]

Did you see Tony Stark arrive in his helicopter? That man loves his melodrama.

[River watches how the boys react with an air of indifference. Boys will be boys, after all. Plus she had another flask stored somewhere on her]

Alright, Klaus you hold onto that for now since you seem to need it more then I do.

[Wesley looked like he was barely holding his temper right now]

Wesley, would you be a dear and help me unpack? You don't have to do it right now, but I'd appreciate if it was done soon.

[demonologist]

Of course, I'd be happy to.

[He finds her request comforting for some reason.]
